OP- I won't call you a f***ing c*** because you are clearly a few biscuits short of the tin.

It's not abuse as I highly doubt FdB or SP sift through these posts it is people venting a lot of anger with real justification.

People like you are the worst possible for this club ATM, people don't support Palace glory hunting we all do so because it's part of who we are and we will carry on supporting the team irregardless.

The same way we have the opposition party to the government to keep it in check people need to speak out against the current nonsense and again are entitled to.

What we do not need is the self serving thought police (you).

I'm sure they sift through the tweets/Instagram comments they've been getting for the last month though. You can sit there and say people are self serving thought police all you like but don't claim to be a supporter and boo the team whilst trying to implement a style from the gaffer because "it's not the palace way". Yeah cos that Palace way has left us in an exemplary place hasn't it.

The problem is, I've seen a side to Palace fans this season that is different than I've ever seen and it's f***ing embarrassing. We're not the best fans at all, were a bunch of whiney shortsighted know it alls with a losers mindset who think that booing players and staff is a good way of achieving success after 3 games.

Our fans have a massive problem with ambition and are all too happy to accept our lot. I've said this so many times, if Frank were to fail at his job then he'd fail, Parish has shown consistent ruthlessness and he'll no doubt show it again if necessary but in my opinion, and no doubt the majority will hound me and disagree with me for this but I genuinely believe this - we as fans have already decided that whatever he wants to do will not be accepted or tolerated and the writing is already on the wall. The effect we have on the team is not to be understated and before people give me the BS about today, and it was shocking first half I'm not saying it wasn't, but this begun before we even kicked a ball in pre-season and there were so many that were literally just itching for us to lose so they could make their poisonous bulls*** well heard and justified, sad and pathetic.

If you're gonna try a new style, everyone has to buy into it and you have to go for it wholeheartedly - otherwise it's pointless and even more damaging. Please explain to me how on earth the players who "can't play football" apparently are ever going to be comfortable i possession when in the back of their mind they have full knowledge that they are one wrong pass away from 75% of the ground whining like little girls.

I'm not defending today's performance or Frank but for me a big part of his demise will be down to the fact that the fans were never willing to get behind the idea of actually improving our style of play. The writings been on the wall from day one.

Who you calling lad?

Did you seriously just post purely to try and tell me that I have "no idea" because I referenced a game I thought was most relevant to my point that happened to be around 8 years ago?

Take your pills my old son and go to bed!

Bang on the money imo, Chester.

I have no problem admitting that I'm nervous as hell watching this unfold but fair's fair - let's see what happens.

I've seen some vicious stuff being written about the manager and chair. Whatever happens, that's bang out of order.

Cannot disagree with the sentiment of the original poster.
We all want to do well but need to hold our nerve if we aren't going to going into an all too familiar cycle of the same old same old.
Could be that this won't work but way too early to call.
Wouldn't want many of the posters on here in charge of casualty.... he hasn't been breathing for forty seconds.
Call it.

But the chairman hasn't supported the manager. Why should the fans if the manager is supposed to change things without resources from the board. Why can people not see that Parish is full of bulls*** about his "ambitions"

Maybe because we were the biggest spenders in England in January and the transfer window is still open...

It's hardly early doors when the transfer window has been open since July 1 and we are now only 5 days from it closing

Don't know why you have responded to me here with this point? I have never booed Palace nor did I today. Also, I don't know where this comes from although I think we have been great in past years, I've never referred to us as 'the best fans' not from any opinion on the matter I would just consider that a weird thing to come out with (only for me personally).

Thirdly, I would like to state that I actually suspended my logical thinking on Franks plans throughout pre season to just 'wait, see and hope'. I obviously didn't want Palace to fail I would have been deliriously happy had FdB pulled it off but the start this season has for me personally brought my logical thinking crashing through my front room in that this is a ludicrously ambitious idea doomed to failure.

My original point is what I am sticking to however in that far from being worried with people being unhappy with things, even if some do (understandably) go about it like pissed off teenagers, I am more concerned with people thinking they have a right to tell others what to think and do, hence "thought police".

If you remain optimistic then fine fair enough that's your opinion as my frustrations are my own, but don't go trying to enforce some happy clappy moonie cult mentality or the 'back in the third division' nonsense like a bad two Ronnie a sketch!

It is too early to say Parish is "full of s*** about his 'ambitions'."

yes but the manager was a late appointment and had hardly any time to judge what he had, let alone swing straight into the market.

Come on, be fair. It's early in terms of what may transpire. I'm sure signings will arrive.
Who they may be and how this will affect the squad and performances I have no idea,,,,

Early doors.

If that's what you've derived from my post then that's upto you mate. Perhaps re read it as I feel you may be missing the point of it. Everyone's frustrated and worried after performances like today, otherwise they're deluded, but this is something that has lingered like a bad smell from the moment he was appointed and I've said time and time again, we as fans massively underestimate how much we undermine the attempt to do things differently. Just as you alluded to happy clappy moonie cult, I'd argue those who believe we could get away with what we've done over the past few years and not do anything to try and change it are apart of their own cult and it's even more illogical. Shortsightedness at its finest amongst palace fans this season.

Apologies,

I veered away from a response you you back to my original point.

I completely understand your position but I would argue that maybe even (subconsciously) with myself perhaps many fans have seen a lot of drastic change from trying to play attractive football to direct firefighting and the latest episode seems too dramatic, which it probably is, from last seasons 'great escape' to an Ajax/Barca style of total football without any investment of playing staff?

Do also understand with your point that maybe some are stuck in a 'English football' mentality but would argue that again most would want to see a gentler transition to this than an overhaul that sees us losing to nil consistently (not suggesting I know what this would look like or how we could go about it).
