Alongside the bent coppers story on the BBC's 'Birmingham & Black Country' news page was another crime case - seems to be a lot of crime in the district.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

I'm exhausted over referring to race. Can't we just talk about shagging Blaire White.....or was that just me?

I find her attractive but I doubt I could shag her....because she is really a he...on a chromosome level permanently. Post op...perhaps...though I'm way past it so this is of course purely theoretical of course. If you are straight you are attracted to the opposite sex and that means for a male that you are attracted to femininity. So if you have a male who can pass and look like a feminine female you can be in a bit of a bind.

I thought long and hard about the correct response Stirling. The correct answer is 'yes'. I have a long and amusing story about a Billy Boy in Miri (Sarawak). Makes my family wince with embarrassment whenever I tell it.

Obviously though this needs to be tempered by common sense and control. What's important is that those chosen to police have a high sense of justice and fairness and control. However, we don't need scared Police officers. Physicality comes with criminality. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Aug 2017 2.30pm) This - I think once you've moved on from being a uniform on the beat kind of copper the level of physicality required becomes less important. The police also need specialists increasingly in scientific and technical areas - plus increasingly support specialists in wider fields such as psychology criminology etc. There was three entry levels. A level for people with no GCSEs, one for those with GCSEs and those with A-levels. The better your qualifications, the less intensive the process was (basically if you were in group one you had to pass more entry exams). Bit like the army, you don't need to be educated to get in, but it really does help.
