Sakho is the best centre half to ever play for us. It's that obvious. Class can make it look easy, like how some think you get more time in the prem because it looks that way by quality players.

Looked nervy? You missed the trick passes to a teammate when closed down or turning defence in our box to attack with one pass onto Wilf's moving toes?

Liverpool don't want him because they don't stand for poor discipline off the field and Klopp won't back down. I think more than the US tour thing has happened. Being a problem in the dressing room. He wants to be here because French is the 2nd and sometimes the 1st language in the dressing room.

My only concern is no resale value but I forget such stuff for 95 minutes easily.

Just off the top of my head: Evans, Young, Gilbert, Thorn, Warhurst, to name but five. (I could go on). All these CBs were plainly better than Sakho.

And before anyone says 'But Warhurst played up front', he was one of those all-too-rare CBs who could also play central striker (like Dion Dublin) and who could alternate (and did) between the two positions. It was a great shame that injury blighted his career, as it also did to Evans.

Resale value ? It won't matter a jot if we stay up.
He would be worth the outlay.

This resale value cr@p makes us look like losers who only want to sign players that we might make a profit on on if we get relegated.

There is a strategic point to doing that. If you don't achieve that at all you eventually slip out of the league.

Sorry I do not understand .

What is the strategic point ?
As I implied there is no strategy in signing players just to sell on if we get relegated, because we should have been signing players to stop us getting relegated.

I've posted this before and I'll post it again: I don't understand all this 'Sakho love'. He's just another centre-half.

In the 8 games he played for us, he showed that he could pose on the ball and look stylish, but only when not under pressure. When pressed, he looked like every other defender does when under pressure - nervy and vulnerable. If he's so great, why do Liverpool want rid of him and where are the other teams fighting for his signature?

If we have £30m to spend (and that's a big 'if'), it would be far wiser to spend some of it on at least a couple of players who offer some sort of goal threat and dead ball danger - Scott Sinclair and Berg Gudmundsson spring to mind.

Our priority should be that, in my opinion: not a Keeper (Hennessey will be okay if the trolls stop digging him out), not a CB, not an RWB (we've already potentially got one in Lee).

Just my opinion.

Sakho's problems were more off the pitch then on them for Klopp, he did a great job for Palace and many fans voted for him, they can't all be seeing just an average player because he wasn't, for us he fitted and settled in quickly amongst players that he obviously got on with, but the asking price from Klopp was ridiculous, I can imagine him saying 'fuck you fucking Cystal palace!'
The pace of Zaha was all we missed from our last game.

Oh yes they can! It's the Dunning-Krueger effect: hype up things you like and knock down things you don't. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

He's nowhere near as good as his fans make out.

The irony in your post is, the fact that is not Dunning-Krueger!

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

So, the fans who voted for him have an over inflated idea of their own understanding of how someone should be playing in that position, love it.

To paraphrase Nils Bohr (paraphrasing in turn a German physicist, but oh well), you are so wrong you're not even wrong.

Can you walk us through the proven link between cause and effect, or is it simply conjecture on your part?

Rather than all this verbal masturbating if we can get back to the subject in hand, according to the Express FdB has claimed that he is definitely interested in Sakho but not at that price.

I still think that this deal is on as Klopp can't have the final say on financial matters surely
