ok then grumpy (rather apt username) ... so if we sign another striker what should we do with wickham & his (?) £50k a week wages, have a striker earning a fortune who will never play as 3rd choice, behave. pape souare not that good behave, he was the fittest & most energetic player in the squad, ran up & down the wing for fun, in FBD setup he wouldnt have to run as much giving him even more energy. he arguably would shine better in tis formation than pardews. say what you want about PVA & schlupp, leicester were laughig at us and we paid £14m for a sunderland full back with no competiton or bidding war. yes it filled a void but our pants were pulled down & arses spanked on both accounts. and please dont give it im talking rubbish about sakho, his signing alone was the reason we stayed up he is a monster of a CB and its 100% obvious hes the missing link, his unboubted quality brings confidence not just to the defence but the team as a whole, he is a leader amongst men...something that cannot be understated

lets be honest here...with the current style of play we may aswell chuck kaikai in his place as we are not utilising him properly anyway. when the FDB tactic bears fruit goals will be shared around evenly rather than relying on bentekkers headers, in the meantime hes not getting that many chances anyway.

And from his remarks it doesn't sound as if his arse is even warmed up, never mind in gear. An upgrade on Kelly I suppose would make sense, but he I think is decent if he's used correctly. Tomkins and Townsend. Burke would be a good addition but I don't think he's an upgrade on Townsend. And we need more defenders as well as Tomkins, not instead of him. He'd be better off upgrading Ward.

Hypothetical scenario but would you take Sakho if we sold Kelly, Tomkins and Townsend. Maybe got burke on loan to buy.

because a player can run up and down the pitch means nothing you need more to your game then that also as i stated before that was before his injuries. so what would you do not buy anyone and then we get relegated well done another fail from you both players have pace which we needed and they are still faily young the price is over value but that is how the market is Jan is awful for that. 1 player doesn't make a team if Sakho had come in under Pardew we would of been relegated Sam changed a lot of things plus we had lots of injuries also he didn't play all the games and we still did well. (he is not worth 30mil)

(he is not worth 30mil) i am not & have never said sakho is worth £30m but in todays market. he is far better value than both PVA & schlupp. and i would argue that if sakho had come in under pards we would have defo stayed up. also i think your doing pape souare an injustice in your comments regarding him, he is/was a superb player for us, and if he did getcaight out he more than often got back & made up for it. on your comment about 50k not being a lot for a weekly wage for a striker please name me the PL teams at our level with 3 strikers earning that wage. lets be honest here, take the top 6 out of things, our wage budget is probably more than southampton/stoke/wba/leicester. i think our top players match spurs top wages, and up untill rooney signed bentekkers earnt more than evertons top earners...lets not kid oursleves were little old palace...were punching big time & theres no turning back the clock, its just a matter of time before the batteries run out.
