Thankfully 'Sunday League challenges' don't happen in the Premier League, not since Roy Keane hung his sharpened boots up, anyway. Talk of court cases for bad tackles is just fanciful at best, however highlighting it with the use of video should at least show that Wilf doesn't receive the protection from the ref that he should be getting.

Maybe worth raising the issue with the Premier League. I've contacted them - [Link] - mentioning the alleged cheering/high-fiving in the Thuggersfield dug-out whenever Wilf was clattered. The PL and their officials must surely have a duty of care/protection for PL players and I don't think that they fulfilled this duty last Saturday.

All genuine great players have to deal with rough treatment . Best , Maradona , Messi , Ronaldo ~ But then again these are true greats , Zaha needs to get on with it

I agree, in the past Best, Bowles, March etc had Bremner, Chopper Harris, Hunter etc trying to hit them hard. They never complained it was all in the game.
This movement to stop any tackling will ruin the game. To be fair Zaha does appear to whine a lot.

'Whenever Wilf was clattered '? Weren't exactly studs up knee high tackles were they.
How can you say they weren't celebrating every time that they managed to stop our best player?
Let's hope we are high fiving later on today if we pay particular attention to Mane and he has a right s*it game.
Huddersfield 1st game in the top league in 30 years and people think they should be trying to match the opposition with nice passing football, handing it back to our players when it's our throw etc.
They came and out fought us for the 3 points , had no one sent off and rightly so and fair play to them on the win.
We've blamed the manager, keeper, system, Ward, puncheon, Parrish, lack of spending, the yanks, Dann. What next? Maybe the ball was too round? If wilf had scored 2 and we'd won this thread wouldn't exist.
We are all the same as fans, if wilf wins a dodgy penalty 'they all do it , don't they ', if snodgrass/young do it they are dirty, cheating c*nts.
We 'get stuck in', they are thuggersfield. Funny really.
Here's hoping Luka , sticks Firminio in row Z in the first 5 minutes and we win by a 'questionable', penalty. COYP

Who was it a few years ago that said that you don't expect to play Palace and then kiss your girlfriend that night as we were such a physical team?

Many a true word spoken in jest. It does seem that many HOLers are walking blame statements

Watching Swans vs. ManUre at mo and Rashford,in my opinion has been fouled 4 times in 25 mins but has only been given 1 as a foul. He was 'blocked' by a Swans defender but ref waved play on. When the ball went out of play the ref called over Rashford and had a word with him. The ref is Jon Moss! Just a bad ref for every team he officiates not just us. Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Coming from Yorkshire he is probably one of the few refs who don't kow tow to Man Utd. Still a s***e ref though!

On the other hand:
"Jose Mourinho's men seemed frustrated at times - Pogba had to be warned by referee Jon Moss after a quick succession of fouls" - from the BBC report on that match. Consistency? - we wish!

Having been booked, committed another yellow card offence, should have been off.
