can anyone tell me why we didn't start kicking them off the pitch? if the ref wont take it into hand then the players should. we need some more aggressive characters on the pitch.

Hopefully this is not true but the performance of the referee needs looking at. We have 2 players injured due to Huddersfield tactics. Whilst I accept that football is a contact sport the game on Saturday looked like a throwback to the 1970s players like Bremner,Stiles, Harris,Tommy Smith, Hunter and Pearce. Hopefully the club have made an official complaint and his descisions will be reviewed and the referee will be taken off the EPL list.

If we have lost Zaha for a few weekk then this is the chance for some of the other players to show there true worth. Lets hope that if one of the U23 players is chosen that he takes his chance and shows us that we have some strength in depth

I expect many red and yellow cards for HT this season. They are an immature side using those tactics as they won't get away with that behaviour for many of the games.

This Link shows a senior referee's view of him prior to Saturday

I wouldn't trust everything you read - how comes Ed Aarons is the only one reporting this?

Your mate must've been next to me..they were high fiving and screaming at their players to hit him...as well as target Ward

This is absolutely f***ing disgusting.

Moss has a history of letting other teams do whatever they like to Zaha and his comments to the player on Saturday make it abundantly clear what his attitude is to fair play and player safety. We now have a key player missing for a month because of his negligence and incompetence. It's f***ing scandalous.

In a fair world he would get sacked, the FA would get sure for damages, Huddersfield would be fined and docked their three points and the players concerned would get retrospective bans.

In this world of course if our manager utters a word about it he'll be fined and what's happened to Wolf will be just tough f***ing s***.

And on Saturday Grujic will be given carte Blanche to hurt whichever Palace players he likes. Last time he appeared against us Tomkins was out for a month.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le foot.

Agreed...i'd like to see the Club make an official complaint about Moss [Link]

If that's true then that is disgusting. Could you contact the club in case they're not aware of it, because it's one thing if your players commit some fouls, but if you are celebrating them targeting a player then that is just vile.

Regardless of protection from the ref, none of them would give Wilf any decisions if they didn't have to, why aren't the rest of the team getting in the ref's ear?!

There are two possibilities here. Either you get booked for dissent or you're Wayne Rooney.

Moss made it very clear the moment Wilf opened his mouth that he could either STFU or get booked.

Kicking him all round the ground however is perfectly OK.

Preposterous.

Too much reliance by Club on Wilf. Confidence for this season is already dropping with not much hope of away win at Liverpool and with injuries already escalating.

think the same as a team is made up of 11 men not one. We need to playa a decent game with or without him although with him its a better option.
Another option is to buy in a player like Micky Droy (if you can remember him)who would be good to "go for" all the bully's who knock Wilf around. I know that when Micky played for us he was "a brick s***house" who if he went in for a tackle against three of the opposing team he would come off the best and win the ball as he did down here in Plymouth when Argyle were giving Clinton a very hard time both physically and verbally so Micky went in and sorted them out even though he got a yellow for one tackle. It worked though as Argyle left Clinton alone after Mickeys intervention. We won the game 3-1 in the end. Our team of today seem too cautious on a tackle to win the ball and players like Wilf get battered with no help from the ref. Mind you with John Moss in charge what did you expect he has the record for the most ever bad decisions and naff refereeing full stop. I am amazed the FA even employ him.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

This is where Jedi was so important to our team. He hasn't been replaced in that regard. Closest I've seen was Sakho in his short time with us. He'd scare the opposition into not trying it anything.

With Wilf out it could be a good way of getting Cabaye/McArthur into the team; shoving Puncheon out wide.

It's always felt to me that we've been trying to accommodate Punch rather than playing him on merit.

He's better on the wing; esp crossing wise (perhaps even better than Wilf in the final ball).

Perhaps this bit of bad luck could be turned into a positive, as either Yohan/Jimmy are far better at breaking up play in the middle of the park then Punch could ever hope to be.....something that Lofuts Cheek showed us on Sat. We need players who can compete for a ball as well as shield the back 3
