Agree 100%. Croydon isn't well known for having intelligent citizens though, is it?

For me I was ok when FDB talked about a gradual transition but really worried by the tactics and talk during pre-season giving the impression that FDB was going gung-ho for the new tactics from game 1. Often said on here that we need to get off to a good start unlike last year, where our early form almost cost us. The performance yesterday was poor and there was very little to be positive about. Of course we need to give FDB time but he also needs to show more flexibility in his tactics and adjust his philosophy to suit the players he has. If he can do this then he will get support from the majority of fans for the season.

Yesterdays result didn't really surprise me 1.How many on here wanted FDB , 2.How many on here were excited about us playing a new style 3.How many on here dislike Pulis , or " Big Fat Sam " or didn't want Sean Dyche ??? Heres the deal, the three English Managers Ive mentioned above would keep us in the division Careful what you wish for 1.Wasnt sure until I read all about his coaching and managerial history to date, then I was quite excited 2.wasnt sure again but now Im absolutely sh1tting it. 3.Liked Pulis (Hated him when he wasn't connected to us and despise him now), Always liked Alardyce and wanted him to stay and wouldn't have minded Dyche at all.

Im not sure he is right because it took SA quite a while to get us winning and make us more resilient. I dont think its an instant process and would like 4/5 games before I can make a pronouncement. How many times does this need saying? Alardyce took over a team that were completely unmatch fit. He didn't have a close season to get them match fit and had to do it during the season for which it wasn't until the end of February that we had a team that would last 90 mins and we're organised enough to win matches. Now, our new manager has taken over this side that Alardyce got up and running and completely changed the formation. Why was that needed? You need to start a season fully prepared and not get stuffed 3.0 by a team that struggled to get through the play offs. It's a huge gamble taken by the Palace owners that perhaps didn't need to be taken if another of the like to Alardyce had been brought in?

What my original post alludes to is If we had played 4 4 2 yesterday or 4 3 3 With our side from last year we would have beaten Huddersfield We do not have the players for this formation We have basic footballers , play a basic way , defend well , get the ball out wide , crosses in the box and we will be ok Anything other than that is dreamland

Yes I agree with you on that but if you go through my old posts . I for one didn't want fdb. I lived in Holland for 10 years and he is not as popular there as people think. The team he took over at Ajax was already in place and virtually picking it's self. I didn't want us to change our style . I loved it when we let them have possession and hit on the counter attack.we was very solid in defence! And we were picking up points. Team picked itself for four years. Did no one come in or leave in that time?

In fact we've been s***e at home since we returned to this league. These players are better than you give them credit for and luckily for us they don't quit like many of the 'fans' do.

What he said. This game by game reaction is tiresome. I wonder if Chelsea and Leicester fans are wetting their pants after one defeat.
