Ward isn't the sort to be happy with warming the bench and could probably get picked up by a lower-half PL team.

Or if the reports are to be believed a higher PL team in West Brom

He will be playing back up to Fosu-Mensah if he stays. No way he'll be playing CB.

I think pre season indicated that he wouldn't be first choice. I think de Boer still wants a wingback.

I'd be amazed if Fosu-Mensah plays CB. He has consistently played on the right for Manure, has the legs and likes to get forward. If he plays in the back 3 we'd have a 20 year old and a 19 year old either side of Dann and that gives me chills. I expect a CB to come in.

Ward has been a wonderful player for Palace and someone who we have all probably taken a bit for granted. It does look like he is not rated by FdB in the RWB positition so it probably makes sense for him to move on. Personally, I will miss him. He has always given 100% and always been first choice as RB. Probably time to move on now both for him and the club

Absolutely. Pretty sure not a single Palace fan would wish him any ills if he decides to move on.

Both Kelly and Mensah are more than capable at right back.

The only thing Kelly is consistently capable of is losing us points.

I think Ward should stay and I think he needs competition for his place.

RWB - Fosu Mensah/Townsend/Kelly

RCB - Tomkins/Kelly/Luka/New signing ?

CB - Dann/Tomkins/Kelly/New signing ?

LCB - Riedwald/Delaney/Dann/Tomkins

LWB - PVA/Schlupp/Pape

It's obviously better to have left footed players on the left of a back three but not essential. Also Kelly at RWB would be at a stretch, Frank has played 4-3-3 in the past so we'd likely switch to that if we were very thin.

When he's been played out of position on the left, thought he did very well when Sam came in last year.

Dont think he wants to stay if he's not first choice.

He's been a great servant but if he wants first team football and we can't guarantee it then I hope he enjoys his football elsewhere. No point keeping a squad player when they want regular first team football.

He'll be missed
