Absolutely, and you'd like to think most people would bother to find out whether that's what a person was referring to or not before getting their gender non-binary undergarments in a flap.

Its a sexual offence and shows a criminal disregard and respect for women. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable towards women, and creates environments in which women feel unsafe.

Men once more displaying that the line between what is 'banter and a bit of fun' borders on misogyny and objectification of women.

I thought higher of you Jamie. Who in this thread has condoned what this fella has done? Not talking about the jokes about being on the period. I'm asking you where people have said it's ok to film up a girl's skirt on this thread.

They haven't - and I put this down to not having had a cigarette this morning. I feel more chilled now having just come back from a smoke break.

Haha. I guess I am very paranoid now that actual banter (not talking about nasty stuff being dismissed as banter) is getting misconstrued by people who won't even give their fellow Palace fans the benefit of the doubt. I used to like it when, if someone said something that could've been taken one of two ways they'd find out what they meant first before leaping to the ceiling for a bit of preaching. This forum is a blinking minefield right now and it's really losing its appeal as a result.

By the way, I was going to PM you this but do you know of a lady (I shouldn't be calling her that) called Joanna Dennehy? Watched a documentary on her last night, reckon you'd find it fascinating given your specialist subjects. Some of the "Born to Kill?" documentaries are a bit dull, but I thought the one on her was pretty interesting from a psychology point of view.

Keeps you on your toes - I do try when moderating to kind of give people the benefit of the doubt - or only a yellow if someone complains - so that people a) know that they've upset someone b) to do justice to others.

Of course its not as easy as it used to be when I wasn't a mod, because 'banter and joking' to one person can come across as bullying and harassment to another - and both people are HOL users.

If you've got one person who thinks they're joking, and another who feels aggrieved - you have to remember that both people are HOL users.

And I think sometimes 'banter posts' do cross a line where it isn't as funny maybe as the poster thinks, and crosses a line.

But Red cards, you can generally rest assured that Red Cards are not issued lightly.

Gawd...I bet you were fun during an episode of Benny Hill.

You need to stick on a pair of suspenders and run around a field.

It's a shame when intended satire is construed as sexism, or irony as misogyny.

If this is a reflection of where we are in the wider world, god help us all.

I don't disagree with any of that. I think generally I have apologised in some shape or another when someone has told me specifically that my comment has offended them.

I do feel sorry for people who are going out of the way to be offended by anything they can get their hands on, especially on someone else's behalf. I guess I'd apologise to them but I pity them at the same time.

Sadly I think we are already imploding as a society!
