Anyone know how you pronounce his surname?

I believe -dt is as in German Stadt, like -tt. -a- is high and a bit back (not like in English cat but more like the u in butter), so it will sound rather like putt, as in golf.

Thanks for the very detailed explanation Ferret and this makes perfect sense.

On a serious note though if he comes, he comes for the bench. He has been an ok goalkeeper here, nothing more then that and unless I am very mistaken has never played in the national team.
I really keep wondering if it would be so hard to find a similar level or better keeper in the Championship or even League 1. Someone English or at least English "raised", and aware of the areal power used in English football and the difference in refereeing.

I am not against some Dutch blood but please no mediocre players.

Appreciate the insight.

Looks pretty good in the video clips.Liked the way he didn't commit himself on the penalties, could be a really good acquisition.

Noticed that too about the pens and also that he stood up as long as possible when 1 on 1. Very athletic with quick reactions.

The pens saves reminded me of those a mate of mine used to make, or it could be that he was just slow in moving sideways!

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

If you are talking about me , I always maintained that I meant to stay still as long as possible and to go the right way and get the miss placed ones, I never realised until now it could have just been that I was slow .

What's the betting that pundits won't be able to master this if we did sign him? I heard around 45 variations of "Jedinak" and "Mandanda". Actually that's untrue, Mandanda didn't play enough for there to be more than variations.

Unfortunately my mates know nothing about Football especially goalkeeping.

But from those clips Padt should have come out and caught the ball.

This would relieve the pressure on the Centre Half, who in my day had to do everything.

Anyhow back to the subject matter IMO Padt not good enough to replace Wayne.

Indeed I was but you were clearing up the mess that your centre half had made.

Just from the video clips, do you think Padt would be an improvement on our existing no 1 choice?
