We're playing that lot in the league about a month from now. Perfectly obviously it's to the bin dippers' advantage to put our most dangerous offensive threat out of action for long enough to miss that game and there's a clear incentive for Grujic to do what he did on purpose. After all when he took Tomkins out that was him off the pitch for a similar period. It was no way a bona fide challenge for the ball or any kind of accidental or careless play.

That the rules don't even allow the FA to review this and the action taken by the referee and to impose a ban commensurate with that disgusting and cynical behaviour seen in the context of the league is a disgrace.

Personally I think a 12-match ban would be appropriate.

I would almost say yes to a suspension of Luca for 15 games to see both shins coming through and Grucic to never play a game again. He has proven he deserved that the c***!!
