I think the lure of having a lesbian relationship on screen will be too much for them.

You know they are going to go there.

Regardless....for me...The Doctor shouldn't find anything human sexual.....It really pissed me off when they started with that.

Do we even know if a Time Lord has a "doings"?

The fact of the matter is that it's the same melt down mentality of people flipping their wig over a black bond - because one hasn't come before - as it is a female dr who. Both are concerns of ultra sensitives.

My comment is geared at the idea that a space alien character from another planet, able to assume human form, is from a narrative point of view, bound to express variety in various areas. Whether it's something done for said variety, to prop up a lagging series, or as some kind of equality angle, it will always get painted as solely the latter anyway, so they may as well get on with it and shut out the noise.

No. That is a self serving muddle of a post.

Firstly Dr Who and James Bond are not comparable in this context. Bond is a White man because he was written that way. To make him Black would be a deliberate alteration of the whole character for the sole purpose of making him black. It would be as daft as making Shaft White. There is no reason why Dr Who could not be Black or female aside from explaining why he has been only male for the last 12 incarnations.I don't recall if Galifraens have ever Black before but that can be reasonably overlooked in the pursuit of inclusivity but only proportionately to the population if that is the aim.
Obviously, aliens are generally portrayed by white people because they are playing to a predominantly white audience and thre is a predominance of White actors. That is still he case. If it were produced in Africa then almost of the aliens would be Black no doubt.
Using your logic, no human could pay an alien because the chances of aliens being entirely human looking would be extremely low one would assume. You might get away with a percentage in make up. The reality is that practical matters detirmine what aliens look like in TV programmes.

A 'doings'....God, I hope not....'Come into my Tardis and look at what's going on with my doings'.

It can't be healthy viewing.

It's the obvious 'progressive' agenda stuff that gets on my wick. Announcing it after the men's tennis final...I mean how obvious can it get.

It isn't really the option of a female Doctor...if the actor is good enough then cool if it works....I know there are some really good black actors who could do it.

For me, it's the frigging limp wristed overtly obvious politically correct writing.

Sums you up nicely.

It was a most predictable BBC decision in fact.

It must have to be seriously tiny to be bothered about a fictional kids' tv character being a woman.

You're entitled to your view. Unlike you, I'm not going to lose sleep over what colour bond is, or if his hair cut or inside leg measurements match the books, i'll leave that to you. I've seen every Bond film and I'll continue to do so without a list of requirements going in.
