Can't we extend the timeframe? I remember thinking ( or maybe speaking to a 'contact') that Per Bartram never really cut the mustard.....

Ah,the great Per Bartram.I think he only scored one goal for Palace, and I was there to witness it ,in a 5-1 home defeat against the Arsenal, around about 1970.

Blimey, that's going back nearly 50 years (but you did say the timeframe was being extended).

Bartram did rather better than his fellow Dane, Borg "Throw-up" (actually Thorup), who also joined us in 1969, and played for us just once.

My mother liked Bartram,Thorup's appearance was as the only substitute.!!

Surprised no mentions yet for the first and second worst strikers I've ever seen play for Palace, who are (in reverse order) Akinbyi and - obviously - Bumfluff.

I think Bamford was in his article but Akiniyi was before 2013 by quite some way.

Bamford without a doubt.

Campana I thought was quite good,a folly yes, but a definite improvement on Joneiesta.

We paid £6m for Jordon Mutch and £30m is too much for Sakho. Madness.

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.

I agree bamford was bad but he only joined on loan, hardly put the club in any financial trouble.

After watching the Palace for nigh on fifty years I can unequivocally say that IMO Jordan Mutch is by a country mile the worst ever piece of business that Crystal Palace have ever conducted.Sure over the years we've bought some really awful players. But even the worst of them put in some kind of effort,

Even Michele Padavano?

There was also a young foreign centre half whom we broke our transfer record for who's name I've forgotten
