Weird one. I think Adrian was voted their best player or in the top 2 two or three years in a row. He does make mistakes but is decent with the ball at his feet, whereas Henessy is a launch it merchant. If the price was a couple of million I would take him, because he's good enough for the job and at the moment we don't require a top draw keeper, we need better outfield players. Looks like we are opting for Cillessen. No idea how Cillessen compares to Adrian in terms of goalkeeping stats etc,

Strted off very brightly for them. Stopped paying attention to him after that as he plays for West Ham. Has he dipped in form since?

Would rather this Clissen guy. Yes totally agree Joe Hart should be no where near the England team, I'd debate if he's even Prem standard. He actually reminds me of our Wayne. Butland, Heaton, Forster and Pickford all better than him IMO. I really hope he goes West Ham becuase he'll be exposed for the sun standard player he is, and West Ham will have a shocking season. Also hope they sign Ross Barkley as he'll only turn up for a couple games. Their manager will be sacked before Xmas and they'll have to much pride to go to Big Sam. Oh how I'd love to see them have a shocker.

Last year exposed a really negative psychosis with the GK+Backline. When Sam came he fixed it the only way you can - not with therapy - but by changing the players. That's why I'll be happy with Adrian, Cillesson, anyone other than WH as No.1 GK, and have WH on bench to let time heal the wounds. Because what will happen is this: deep in all the player's heads is the hope and belief that those shocking defensive collapses (4-5 Sunderland!!!) are dead and buried. Then, quite reasonably, WH will make a mistake leading to a goal. Now normally that would be seen as just a part of the game in any other team, but for us, negative memories will suddenly come back "Sh1t! Is Wayno back into his f@ck-up mode?" and, even though he isn't, THAT'S what suddenly swamps the player's heads INSTEAD of football. And what is feared then happens. Now, I think WH is a top GK, but I think he needs the pressure off him for a season to thoroughly put this demon to bed.

But I thought Hennessy played s lot better under Sam and we owe the Chelsea victory for example almost entirely to Hennessey that day

I don't think Adrian is better than Hennessy, or if he is, the margin is small and not much of an upgrade at all. How could you possibly contemplate telling somebody you have never met what they do of do not think. Your obsession with bashing Hennessey on any thread possible is virtually medication time. You need counselling.

But this is a 'head' thing, and especially at home with our passionate and vocal supporters, the mood can change very quickly, and it can infect everybody, Wayne and the whole team. I am suggesting that a little time is needed to truly get over it. FDB brings a fresh start, and I think Wayne's head-space needs to be protected until the new method of playing is up and running in full swing - with last season viewed as ancient history. This is the whole issue with the WH/Speroni debate: The GK tends to get all the focus, but last year the c@ck-ups involved the whole defence and midfield, not just Wayne.

I could fix all our frailties by signing Mamadou. As long as he performs to his 8 game standard.
