True, it's just an irritant. Non heterosexual people (I dislike this idea that because of some genetic/social factor that you are suddenly in a 'community'...so I try to avoid it) Non heterosexual people undoubtedly face issues...name calling and the implied message that they are lesser...No different to ugly boys and girls really....It's not a nice face of society but it's one of many. However, in truth..I'm ignorant as too any genuine issues that society can fairly address. Perhaps I'm wrong about that but I'm genuinely open to be educated about it. They have a cross to bear, but so does the ugly bird. Like the ugly bird, their attitude to life makes much more of a difference to what they get out of it. Basically, outside of social status and income, if you are a good looker...especially a good looking young female you get all the breaks....well until you get older.
I dunno, I've got gay friends and known a couple of transsexual, and they've got more than just a few bad words thrown their way. All of them have experienced violence, threats of violence on top of name calling. When Becky was awaiting reassignment, she was beaten up twice and experienced people spitting on her in the street.

About time they considered changing the announcements at stations then. Phew.

To create resentment. It's all a conspiracy by really right wing individuals to garner more support for their hatred. And they won't stop until we do away with the pink and blue icons next to our names on the HOL. Brown skinned gender non-binary people in beige jumpers only please mods. Thank you for drawing my attention to the icons. It is good when we all have confidence in our identity - and do not seek classification. The London Underground decision opens the door to lots of possibilities - a code could be issued to Londoners with their Council Tax demands. - Hello Possums or Greetings To$$ers" could be mind focusing starts to important messages.

I was beaten around the head with a pick axe handle and sent to hospital.....s*** happens to everybody. Where I grew up violence wasn't unordinary....I suspect this is true for many people reading this.....I didn't notice people giving me sympathy and 'aren't it awful' speeches. Who protects the ugly girl who gets treated like s*** compared to everyone else? All you can do in life is ensure that you personally try to do the right thing. Difference leads to being treated differently. We can moan about it or we can get on with it.

There are, according to this blog, 58 genders: It is going to be a b****** announcing all of those on the tube, the train will have arrived and gone before they will have announced half a dozen of them. As an aside, I reckon PTJ has gone through around 45 of these genders and would be interested to know from him what was the best experience. Edited by matt_himself (14 Jul 2017 8.59am)

Exactly, no one cares about what the f**king train announcers say, when the experience of people is much more f**king serious. Recently, a gay couple from Reading were attacked by three thugs on a train. That's what I want to see the Rail Companies doing something about. We'll get to the 'issue' of what the announcement when its the bigger issue (although I suspect on such a day, no one will give a f**k).

People who do violence to other people, like this (or if someone is gay, or black) etc have no place in society and we should not tolerate them. Its f**king absurd how lightly we treat people who go out looking for violence. And there is for some reason a tolerance of violence in society, especially among males, that acceptable and a culture of people justifying violent people (oh he said this, or he looked at me funny, he was 'taking the piss', he supports x etc and so on). These people, really are the bane of society. They probably do more social harm than most people convicted of murder, and rarely see more than fines, short sentences and slaps on the wrist - whilst they end up terrorising whole estates and communities. We take greater retribution for non-violent crimes and crimes of capital, than we do violence against the person - and that is damning. The fact you can kick the s**t out of someone and likely avoid prison, with a fine and compensation, some community service and no attempt at rehabilitation is a tragedy that leads to greater suffering of innocent people at the hands of such people.

I'm not sure what can be done about it. Yes. I want people who go around using violence against others off the streets and if they can't be rehabilitated, out of society indefinitely. Its staggering how accepting of any violence towards others is by society.

Edited by matt_himself (14 Jul 2017 8.59am) I myself have only ever been 12 different genders, but you are close with your figure of 45 in estimating how many of these genders I have experienced either on webcam or in a sauna/massage parlour. That number is actually 42. But the answer to both these things is a simple and somewhat traiditional choice - MEN. Being a man and being with a man. You can't beat it.
