What makes you think this lad is different to the others On a related note it was announced today that Surrey County Cricket Club have released Mark Footitt as he couldn't settle in Surrey and so he has gone back to Notts. Perhaps we shouldn't sign anyone that doesn't come from South London Fans are making out his excellent based on what YouTube, football manager or fiffa. I heard his name mentioned about the next big thing. Let's no make out, we'd know if he'd do any better than a player from the championship for instance.

Most decent championship players would cost the same. Except I don't see video clips of them playing as well.

I heard he's talented but definitely have concerns about him settling in SE25, if mandanda couldn't settle with numerous French speakers at Palace and French teammates. I wouldn't think munir would, Jose campana spring to mind about being unsettled. That's basically saying don't buy another foreigner becuase one didn't work out. What about: PVA None are English all settled in the Prem ok. Oh but Mandanda didn't so we fear no others will.... just a tiny bit silly

You completely missed the point. All the players also speak English. I glance back to when we bought 2 Hungarian's in torgehelle and kriarly, sometimes you need a mate to settle into the squad with.

My point is they all came to the country at some point and settled ok, they then came to palace and settled ok. I absolutely don't get what you're point is.? Are you saying we shouldn't buy any foreigners that haven't settled here yet becuase it didn't work out with Mandanda? If that's not what you're saying I'm lost.

I don't think Milivojevic had, though, had he? And he impressed me from his first kick. Edited by chateauferret (13 Jul 2017 10.01pm)

Edited by chateauferret (13 Jul 2017 10.01pm) Last time I checked Luka spoke English, I not saying munir won't settle but it's always a risk especially when they know little if any English. Look campana for instance failed to settle, didn't know any of the squad and I think he was one of the only Spanish speakers.

You seem to be saying we should be wary of signing foreign players becuase one didn't work out. Yet we have a whole list of ones that did and the Prem is littered with hundreds more. Very very very very few players don't settle in England and to say it's a risk is maybe stretching things. I.e. Crossing the road is a risk. Hundreds do it and most make it. Just like with European transfers. I do not see any more risk in the fact he's European than English.

How comes the likes of nolito and Jesus navas want to head back to Spain, if munir doesn't settle then it a waste of money and force through a move back to Spain. He's only 21, living in a foreign country is harder enough especially that young. There's always a risk with every signings but it always seems harder to be a flair player from abroad, munir not elite player.

I've no idea why those players want to go back, maybe there not being picked? That's like saying how come Sakho didn't work out a Liverpool or likewise for any transfer that didn't work out. Is the risk higher becuase there from abroad? Maybe. But is it a high risk? No it's not a high risk. Every team in the country has more non English players than English. So of course you can find a handful that didn't like it here. But that doesn't validate it as being a higher risk than picking a player from a lower league for the same money. The risk is surely the money on an unknown player. No idea how all these other players got here if it's such a high risk.
