If we are to see FdB introducing a more controlling type of game it may well be that a couple of players who fit the FdB style will be more productive than a big outlay on someone suited more to another style of play. Let us not forget Liverpool feel that Sakho do not fit their system. I am not saying Sakho is a poor player I am suggesting there might be better value out there that suits the FDB style. You might be correct Brinscall, but don't forget that Christian did not fit into there style of play either.

At no point has it been said that he didn't fit Liverpools system , in fact he started nearly every game under klopp until his ban and then the eventual falling out.

That is true but he is still a Liverpool player and they are still trying to sell him if Kloppaty thought he was a perfect fit for their system he would forget the tiff they had. In addition they are wanting the Southampton centre half who is a footballing type player and more suited to the Liverpool style.

SP must have said it at least 3 times about possession being an issue. not just last year. his frustration regarding us giving the ball away needlessly, especially at home, was probably the main take away from the interview. we know FDB's feeling. you can expect what that means in new signings. i don't expect we'll see DD hoofing the ball all over the pitch anymore. i'm interested to see what that means for WZ. is he given free reign to create on the wing, largely on his own?

Is suspect FdB wants to bring a few players in who understand his philosophy a little bit already. That being said I doubt he'll be spunking £30m on one defender. Can imagine he'd much rather buy both Tete and Veltman for under £15m and have £15m left for elsewhere. Much like Sam paying up for both Schlupp and PVA. Both Tete and Veltman can play RB / CB so even with injuries we should be better suited to his style. Ward, Tete, Veltman, Tomkins, Damo, Dann, Kelly, PVA, Schlupp, Pape, I'd love us to sign Sakho and he'd bring so much stability. But i can't see FdB spanking his cash all at once

Sky sports are reporting that ''Palace end Sakho Interest'' and will instead focus on other transfer targets as FdB looks to strengthen his squad. Hopefully that means a complete review of the back line which has not been defending well for sometime now and will give us better options when playing out of defence instead of the ball being launched high and long to anyone except our own team!

If Liverpool stop being so daft about the fee we may have a chance. That said, Ake going for 20m proves football has gone insane. Dream scenario; Sakho 20 34m spent plus more if mandanda is sold and we need a gk. This would be great summer business and realistic.
