Got to hit the season running - Huddersfield home 1st game, Swansea home 3rd game, then Burnley away, then Southampton home. After that we have to face City and Utd away, then Chelsea. Liverpool away is 2nd game. Another we expect to win. We must be prepared early and not chuck points away in Pardew or parish leave signings till the very last minute style if we're short.

Win every game, everything else to go their way regarding all the clubs down there, which those self righteous cvnts probably expect. I want weekly humiliation. It's going to be great. First 4 away games look tough... Important to start well at home this season. If we're on 15 points by the end of October I'll be happy. From Stoke at Home until Xmas and end of the season are nice runs of winnable games. Nobody signed till those games are lost it'll be then.

Always prefer to play the promoted teams a little into the season so that their spirit is a bit more broken, they tend to have their tails up early doors.

Can we, for a change then, not chuck the first 2 or 3 games because we, the manager, or the chairman and/or our transfer activity aren't prepared or a usual shambles. Waste of breath though. We'll sign players after those easier games and be in the bottom 3 before city, United and Chelsea leaving the playing squad and management an unnecessary extra battle. If we've appointed one by then. We really need to crack on and get a managerial appointment sorted so that we can start getting the transfer process underway and give ourselves the best pre-season possible. I do fear though that transfer business will be conducted with the usual fiddling and farting about, whilst we dither over whether we want to pay that extra £1m or £10k a week, followed by the target going to Bournemouth or Watford.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Home to Huddersfield 1st game' by Guntrisoft Worst possible scenario, one of the new boys in first game home. Everybody expects 3 (easy) points - would rather play our opening game in Manchester with no expectations at all...

Yep, take the same risks every time and at some point it'll result in the way you didn't want. That shambles in the 1st half vs Bournemouth with players looking at each other before that Bournemouth corner when the whole holmesdale was going potty. WBA at home wasn't much better. The best we could muster was a right footer on the left wing pulling a floor cross behind Wickham at the Whitehorse end. Pretty much pish all for 2 and a half games. That's how easy about 9 points can slip away.

Did you watch the play-off final? Huddersfield were sh!te even though they were marginally the better team on the day. I wouldn't say it's going to be an easy three points, but I wouldn't expect to lose to that! Edited by sa_eagle (14 Jun 2017 9.45am)
