Nearly exploded with excitement the other week when he scored his one and only goal in about the last three years for an already-relegated Middlesborough. Mentioned as an example of a player who was worse than Adebayor. Sanogo and Akinbyi were also worse than Adebayor. Edited by chateauferret (11 Jun 2017 10.03pm) Yeah I thought the 4 finger stroke back of the fringe had promise but it was nothing on the early to mid '80s footballer stroke back. I'll never forget Barry Venison's sweep back after just coming on in the 1990 semifinals and slicing the ball from right back over the old barrel roof stand along the touch line. He was their worst player of the time but with Scouse hair to aspire to he must've been a god.

How rude! We paid his wages and got a player that looked no better than the average league two player.

Yep it was a big mistake for him as within just 6 months the rest of the premier league could see how s***e he was. He would have been better trying to negotiate a longer deal with some other team and could have sat on his arse longer being paid big wages....Now he has to ply his trade around the globe, poor fella.

The front three of Bolasie, Wilfried Zaha and Emmanuel Adebayor were a constant threat as Palace chalked up 23 efforts on goal, with Adebayor spurning a golden chance in the first half and Bolasie twice shooting wide. Former Tottenham and Arsenal man Adebayor then laid on the late second with a fine ball to find substitute Campbell as Palace wrapped up a professional and well-earned win.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

He was s*** for us but was a good player for most of his career before we signed him. However, the point that is most relevant to this article, is he's always been an utter cock.

He was not exactly getting many offers when we signed him mainly due to needing anyone who even remotely looked like a goal scorer. Well, he turned out to be more than remote and totally past it. In all likelihood, had we not signed him there probably would have been no one else at that time.
