Hate it when people say stuff like they're going straight back down. So many Palace fans on fb saying crap like easy 6 points for Palace next season.. Everyone said the same about us and now it's going to be our 5th season in the Prem. Fair play to them, massive achievement and good luck to them next season. Huddersfield supporters who have held season tickets since 2009 will be able to buy one for £100 next season. That's great that is.

what about Chelsea Away, Liverpool away and Arsenal? Those are bonus games. Should have thrown them away as they were meaningless. If we had 9 points less from those games it just means that...oh...wait. Not to mention with Sakho's injury we'd probably have beat Tottenham and been safe. We were heading for a point at the very least.

According to Slash Football on Facebook "Huddersfield fans who've held season tickets since 2009 will be able to buy one for £100 next season - which equates to around £5 a match." If true that's a seriously nice gesture to their fans.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

what about Chelsea Away, Liverpool away and Arsenal? Those were three amazing games in a month. It’s when you’ve got three games in a week, that it would probably always make sense to focus on the other struggling team.

Seriously gets on my moobs that people are still banging on about the Tottenham game. As has been pointed out, we picked up 9 points against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool and we were perfectly entitled to go for another three against Tottenham. Does my head in.

A lot of people agreed that we should’ve written off Spurs at home to concentrate on Burnley. And they'd have been right, we looked tired against Burnley, were slow to start. Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea were good points, but the close proximity of the games with Spurs and Burnley, probably meant that we lacked sharp focus against Burnley - and it cost us. Not to mention if we'd rested Sahko against Spurs....

Quite pleased for Huddersfield as they were the opponents for my very first Palace match at Selhurst aged 5.

Even the commentators agreed it was one of the worst finals ever. I'm sure nerves played a part but it was only the third time (I think) a goalless draw had been played out in this competition. So a combination of the two, nerves and lack of quality. Huddersfield really should have buried a few of their sitters. I seem to remember three Palace finals ending 1-0 (the right way): Wednesday, West Ham and Watford.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
