Being totally honest, I have heard the word "Blog" but don't know what it is.
I am 65 in November and I guess I haven't kept up with all these modern things.

It's easily done when posting here using a phone which has auto correct.

My phone seems to have auto incorrect on it where it keeps changing words that I typed correctly into other words that I didn't mean or want to type.

unfortunately I often don't notice until after I've pressed "send"

I haven't been keeping up with all this technology.
And perhaps in reality I don't have the 'Bandwidth' mentally to embrace or understand such things.Keep hearing certain things but to be honest I don't know what on earth they are eg "The cloud".Perhaps I need to go to "Silver surfer" classes.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

You're a beginning to sound like 'Comrade Gusset' who appears to spend a lot of time searching the Internet for left-wing propaganda.

Sincerely from everyone else who doesn't give a sh*t about spelling but actually wants to talk about Palace,

F*ck off and get a life.

(Bet there is a mistake in this ^ that some smart Alec will pick up on)

No, you fcuk off and improve your English. You should take criticism on English constructively.

I'm not keen on people using poor grammar to avoid a debate but posting is actually a good way to improve your grammar, punctuation, vocabulary etc.

I'm more than happy to be corrected if it improves me.

Spelling is one thing people will get wrong for several reasons.

Using 'would of' and 'could of' and 'ares' when it should be 'our's' should be highlighted or how do people ever know? I blame a lot of tv for this spreading. Soaps, most ITV and muppets on reality tv. Possibly teachers or the teaching arena for not correcting the little darlings because they can't be wrong. Maybe some parents as well.

Or do we gradually demolish the English language and have people coming into the country having a better command of our language than we do, because that's how it'll be.

That is seriously f#*king irritating!
My youngest plays for a team here called De Beers but everytime I Instagram or Facebook from my phone it comes up with "Dr Beers", it annoys the f#*k out of me!

Tried harder to do what?

I'm perfectly happy to have bluders such as my one about the Ship of Theseus pointed out, it teaches me a valuable lesson about posting when pi**ed.

Actually am reminded of an absolute cretin I once had for a boss who spent a morning going through a pile of documents I had written and "correcting" every instance of etc. to read 'ect'. He then threatened to discipline me for dissent when I told him his spelling was bollocks. I pointed out that 'et' was latin for 'and' and he said he knew nothing of Latin and I should be thinking about my English. T**t.

And don't get me started on the idiot civil servant who in spite of my express written advice insisted on printing a million forms in which "dependent" and "dependant" were used interchangeably (the former is an adjective and the latter a noun). Sadly for him, the users of these forms were well educated for the most part, and his arse was kicked all round England.
