if Sam really has quit for not being able to sign a 35 year old for three years on 135k a week, he's the one in the wrong here, not Parish.

Its all iffs. You cant come to the conclusion that Parish must go on the basis of iffs. I know you are upset-but even so!

Many chairmen have very heavy influence in who is signed, its more common than you might think, it aint just like playing Football Manager. At Boro for example Gibson, who is considered a great chairman, solely decides on the transfer dealings. Karanka had no say at all.

I have been castigated on here for suggesting he might want to quit. If he has decided to retire wish him all the best he is over 60 and its a very stressful job. Put your feet up Sam has done the job for us.

If it's down to giving old established players new contracts, when Sam wanted them to leave then Delaney is perplexing though I can understand Speroni. If it's down to not signing Defoe, then I can understand Parish because it's nuts spending that amount per week on a someone who is nearly 35, and paying them that amount for three years. I mean we spent £40m in January, we can't go on like that.

Typical Palace. They will never give their supporters peace, will they? Not even for a second. I am fed up having to have with all these different managers because of what? Parish? I don't know. But this really stuffs us up for next season. Parish needs to get his hands off. He wrongly persisted with Pardew and p1ssed off the two best managers we've had (Pulis and Allardyce). With Sam gone this f@cks up everything - the players we'd keep and get, the fitness staff, honestly, who'd want to play for this unstable bunch? I hope you got a good reason Parish. But it looks like you do things to managers that really p1ss them off. Maybe it's time YOU f@cked off mate?

Was Sam employed on the basis that he could fill 20 of the squad places but the Chairman wanted the other five to fill himself? I have no idea what the real reason for Sam leaving is but if it's anything to do with the Chairman interfering with team matters I think that any potential manager would be loathe to take the job with us. At least Vincent Tan and Assem Allam only wanted to interfere in matters of the club's colours and name
