Punch top lad and a prem squad player. However no goals as our creative midfielder says it all! Needs some competition and we need some goals from midfield. Wardy also a top pro and very good defender but he needs competition too and somebody better on the ball. Considering Kelly has played 33 games and weve stayed up is a miracle tbf. Cant stand still need to move fwd as a club. Some great performances in an otherwise average season musnt paper over the cracks. Some players arent good enougj for a whole season. We need reinforcements in the summer and clear the decks despite some great servants maybe getting the boot!....

Fourteenth belies what a difficult season it's been. Watford finished one point below us in seventeenth and had their cigars out weeks ago.

Luckily it's Sako, not Sakho! But a great summary, and I hope you have a good end of season sesh. My summary of what you've said is: considering how 'bad' we've been, actually we've turned out to not be so 'bad' after all; and with just a little bit 'more' we could actually be quite 'good'. If that makes sense!

I hear similar sentiments with cries of "Get rid of A, get rid of B" etc etc. Unless players are at the end of their contracts it sometimes isn't as easy as just saying "Off you go". They were never really considered to be in much danger of going down and lost 7 of their last 8 games. Their manager has departed - maybe they will go for Pardew !

Campbell, Flamini, Fryers, Ledley, Remy (loan), Hennessey all coming to end of their contracts, with the exception of Hennessey I expect all to move on. We'll have sufficient spaces freed up to allow us to bring some decent players in. Offloading Lee, Sako, Mutch will be a bit harder.

I thought they were bonkers to sack Flores but it wasn't quite the stroke of genius that brought Zola to Birmingham. He made Pardew look like Scolari.
