My opinion is SP should step aside and let the Americans take over its not the first time this has happened either there is definitely something wrong with the way parish handles his managers pulis allardyce even Holloway walked out seems like a pattern is emerging here but its never parish fault well this time it is and it will come back and bite us come the end of the season IM VERY SHOCKED AT THIS AFTER WHAT BIG SAM HAS DONE THIS SEASON bet it over his 2million pound bonus can see another court case coming UP

Or do you think Sam knocks on Parish's door and says 'Cheers Steve, I'm off on hols tomorrow. I'll be back in 2 months and we'll see what's happening.' Ian Holloway and Tony Pulis....

It gives me absolutely no pleasure to see what now appears to have unfolded. However, it might at least teach a few posters to think a bit before they respond in such a derogatory manner to what now appear to be intuitive observations.

He simply decided he didn't want to do this any more and wanted to do something else with his life. That's quite different from the suggestion that there was some kind of bustup going on or that Parish hasn't handled this properly. There was nothing in anything we saw that suggested a row was brewing, or indeed that Allardyce might feel like retiring. On that basis the article that suggested there was going to be a showdown with Allardyce threatening to walk out was indeed bollocks.

So 72 hours ago he was talking about building up the backroom staff and how much money was available to strengthen the squad.... then just like that he decides to retire. That's utter bollox
