They expected to go down and they have it will not be easy to come back up. Feel sorry for them no way.

All ifs and buts. If we had got the extra two points Pardew might not have got sacked when he did. So we might have already been relegated.

Fair comment

Hull conceded far more goals than everyone else this season, got beaten by Sunderland (we would never do that!) and wouldn't buy enough players. It would have been a shame for us or Swansea to have gone down instead of them (much as we hate Swansea). The three worst teams got relegated. 38 points were needed. Hull could only manage 34 or 37 if they win next week.

I can't help but feel a bit sorry for Hull. They put in a great effort towards staying up after Marco Silva took over and still did well even after Snodgrass left, but in the end it wasn't quite enough.

I have less sympathy for the club's owners than their fans, though.

Hull were very poor today and had it not been for relegation nerves then we'd have put 5 or 6 past them. It makes you wonder how they weren't relegated a long time ago. I feel for any supporter when their team is relegated (we'll, with a few obvious exceptions) but they weren't good enough. Given the lack of investment they put up a decent fight.

I can't remember any penalty shouts for them but will watch the highlights later. Thought the ref had a decent game.

So did I, he could have sent Dawson off for foul on Schlupp but for once a ref used his commonsense. As for penalties, there was an appeal for handball from a freekick, is that what people are talking about? I was gthere and can't think of anything else.

Was that the one when the Hull player was 'ushered' out of play at the tunnel side of the Holmesdale? Didn't look like anything in it from where I was sitting but not doubting I missed something and I do have a selective memory sometimes.

Felt sorry for their fans. A 200+ mile traipse for a midday Sunday relegation decider pissed away by your central defenders in the third minute isn't great.

A must-win match against a side which had shipped seven goals in two matches and which had 30% possession.

Hull shots on target: 0

Felt sorry for the fans but that's about it. Would they be bothered about us if the roles were reversed?

They went down with a wimper today and I think the players should reimburse the fans for that abject performance.

If you can't beat Sunderland at home then frankly they deserve to get relegated.

Do I feel sorry for them? Nope could't give a monkeys.

Yep, anyone that gets humiliated by Sunderland at home doesn't deserve to be in this league

Agree, decent ref. The 'handball' was too far away for me to take a view.
