Problem for Palace are the two Championship Center backs. Swansea looked strong today so it goes without saying we need maximum points against Hull, anything less and we can be overtaken. Fixtures Hull home against Sunderland and Spurs who wont be as motivated as they were against us so they could pick up 5 points taking then to 39, and Swansea can win their last two games against Sunderland and WBA and have 39 points even if they draw with Everton. So it looks like 38 points wont be enough this year.

It will if Swansea lose a game.

A point against Hull will probably be enough, just not sure that our defence is going to be strong enough which could mean going to to United needing to match either Hull or Swansea.

Still, I'd prefer to be in our position than Hull's or Swansea's.

One more point will be fine. Should get that against Hull but looking at City and Utd's f***-ups, no reason we can't nick one against them.

Everton still have a hope of a Europa league place as ManUre could well win the Europa league, the Arse are rocking. Therefore they will be up for it next week and certainly on their day have the quality to inflict this on Swansea.

Surely they would love to finish in the top 6! If that is not enough motivation I don't know what is. Having said that I am having squeeky bum time

I can't envisage a Koeman side just sitting back and not trying simply because "they have nothing to play for".

Definitely not. The beach performances we have seen have all come from teams with f*** all pride and f*** all honour: Stoke, Watford, Southampton. West Brom will obviously be the same. I wouldn't tar Everton with that brush. Nor Sunderland, come to that. Lukaku wants his golden boot or whatever it's called and Ibrahimovic is out of action. Oh, and he's looking for a pay rise, too.

Remember Oldham winning their last three games and sending us down on goal difference? 49 points (albeit from 42 games), but not good enough to stay up.

Looking at Swansea's remaining games, I'm fearing a similar scenario. Can anyone offer any words of solace please?

It was 1993.

Indeed. One defeat for Swansea. That's all we need.

I seem to recall we were all pleased with a draw away to Man City...
