Replay shows that Townsend made the most of it but, I agree, if he wasn't "on one" already, that's a yellow.

Wanyama's on a knife edge the rest of the game having been warned alongside his captain.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Allardyce has officially made McArthur a winger. Started with him right midfielder and Zaha behind Benteke in the center. Hmmmm.....not terrible, but a strange thing.

Now, in the 30th minute, he moves all 3 players behind Benteke. Townsend comes to the right, McArthur in the center, Zaha goes to the left

How many fouls is Dembele gonna commit before the ref books him. Joke!

Two bad ones and a huge show of dissent at the last one. Should be in the book by now.

6 fouls Dembele committed and the ref just now says no more. Talk about lenient !

Now another to stop Schlupp breaking out of defense. Moss warns him instead of flashing the overdue card.

We've had the better of that half for sure. Hopefully Spurs don't pick themselves up for the second half and we can capitalise

Thoroughly decent first half again, reduced Spurs mostly to pot-shots and whacking crosses into the side netting and gave their defenders plenty to think about. Wanyama should be gone really but he will be if he loses it again. Dele Alli also a filthy cheat.

Satisfying first half. Ceding possession (of course) but at least equal in the number of good chances created. Spurs look very disjointed, which we cannot expect to continue.

Sakho having the time of his life playing like Beckenbaur and popping up all over the pitch!
