Klippity has got a problem and he knows it . Klopp is one dimensional with his tactics the 'high press' may have worked in Germany where possession is the be all and end all of the game but its not going to work against teams in England where apart from one or two most teams are happier to let the other side have the ball . He has to like Man City for example have a game to break down sides that defend deep and break . His record against the top teams is good his record against the bottom teams is poor . But thanks for the points anyway and as one caller on the radio said last night , Cam down cam down

Sky had Carragher doing the commentary and Souness in the studio. Sky don't even try to hide their bias. I didn't bother listening after the post match interviews. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 ex Liverpool in the studio at the same time. Beggars belief. Great to hear that when Carragher has commentated on a Liverpool game they have never one. Its worth putting up with his annoying voice and biased bollocks for that stat to continue. Though Souness was fair both before and after the game and said Palace are a tough team to beat.

I generally find them to be quite an entitled bunch of people who are most definitely living off and dine out regularly on their past glory. Albeit not quite as smug as Manchester utd.

On Twitter in response to some nonsense from The Anfield Wrap, most Liverpool fans were complimentary about Palace and supported Sakho being on the bench and even celebrating. Most bemoaned the fact that they didn't have him in their line up. I was pleasantly surprised how balanced their view was.

I supply a LFC supporters group with merchandise & they are overwhelmingly complimentary of Palace on their FB page

Absolutely loved the fact you could hear our boys' music from the away dressing room while Klopp was trying to give his post-match interview.

Last season he was a breathe of fresh air , this season he has proved that he is tactically inept against the lower teams playing different tactics. He also leaves subs far too late, I prefer Sam!!! It seems the big clubs and especially Wenger don't even give us the respect of working out a game plan to beat us.

Klopp's substitutions yesterday struck me as Pardewesque. Once made, I thought there's only one team going to score now, and they weren't wearing red!

Souness just moaned about Coutinho not getting a penalty. Klopp just sounded very downbeat. Makes it sweeter really I sometimes worry some Palace fans just want us to get beat as they need something to moan about. Souness' first words on Palace post-match was that we were "very impressive". Said that "much like against Arsenal" we came to win every physical match up and that we thoroughly deserved the win. Yes there was a Liverpool focus - but that's because they are the big side. 90% of the tv audience watching that game at the weekend probably cared more about Liverpool (either positively or negatively). I found it odd that they had Carragher commentating but for analysis I didn't think it was a big issue. I would have rather they had an ex-Palace on their to 'balance' but thought Souness was virtually glowing in his praise for us. I didn't listen to 606 but as someone else said Klopp said that he couldn't understand how we were in the position we were and that we were a good side. Unsurprisingly his focus was on the performance of his own team though. Big deal? Edited by OknotOK (24 Apr 2017 2.57pm)

Marriner owed us a pen after that ridiculous decision for Liverpool at Selhurst when one of their players - can't for the life of me remember who - tumbled over in a stiff breeze in the 94th minute of a tied game. However, Countinho's plight does highlight the issue with refereeing inconsistency. If Marriner officiated the situation correctly, he should have allowed play to continue - which he did - but then call it back for the pen once the chance evaporated, which was almost instantly. It's the failure of referees to use the advantage rule to their own advantage that forces players to crumple under the slightest - yet illegal - contact, which then makes it hard to decide between exaggeration for attention and simulation. Referees force players to choose - on the fly - whether to press on or nosedive. Wilf is a constant victim of this dilemma. He is fouled almost constantly but his desire to continue means that refs do not give him the calls he is due. Then, when he does go down to highlight the illegal attention he is getting, he's about 50/50 for getting a card for simulation. They need to get together and sort out this mess. Decide how they are going to officiate, stick to that edict, and tell the players that they are going to be liberal with advantage but give them the free kick they deserve if nothing comes of continuing play. Oh, and therefore crumpling like a broken deckchair after a gentle caress will hence forth be treated as simulation.
