Just received a call from Mary, Derek has had a good day today! He is off the oxygen which is good news although his blood pressure is still a bit on the high side. He has got to drink a liquid called 40 sips, he is meant to drink 4 bottles of this a day. He has only drank 1 bottle today as he doesn't like the flavour. He calls it 40 s***s as it tastes so vile. Maybe they should make it taste like beer, then he would soon polish it off? He is talking more today but is extremely tired. I personally think that Mary sounded happier today and Derek is responding to the medication. So fingers crossed he has another good night and hopefully more good news tomorrow! He has been stable overnight too according the this morning update When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC

Even managed to get a 'selfie' done with him(on FB) Great news, now keep up the recovery mate slowly but surely..... This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
