Surely there's only one fitting epilogue to all this and that's "West Bromwich Albion 0 Crystal Palace 2".

At the risk of the full wrath of HOL descending upon me, I was genuinely impressed by how gracious in defeat Pulis was in his post-match interview. "Congratulations to Palace" he said, which in the circumstances is pretty sporting if him. Even without 'circumstances', that's more grace than the moaners like Moanrinho and Whinger will ever offer.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Didn't Steve Bruce say the same thing when he walked out on us to go to Birmingham. He said "One day I'll have my say"

That was 16 years ago and we're still waiting !

All I can see on the website is more Wenger whining. "We euhve teuh pleh Meedlesbeuhreuh euh zeese ceuhld be reelee treeckee beceuhse we euhre seuhch teuhtal sheet."

I can't believe that when I read this aloud and put on a Wenger accent, only then does this post make any sense!!

I don't actually remember him saying anything at the time. Woukd still really love to know what happened there. Just didn't make sense at the time. He made it make sense by taking Birmingham up though.

Birmingham had obviously more potential than we had and he was not long retired as a Man Utd player, had that win at any cost mentality, and thought if he went for the top he'd get the Man Utd job.

As we all know it happens all the time, it just doesn't happen as often when you're passing your way through the league to score enough goals to win every week.

I laughed when he left them to join Wigan. Sums the whole sh1t up. Ajax's manager wanting to join Fulham would've been a surprise once upon a time.

I'm hoping when he does have his say he does it in song form.

They should take this money and spend it on a major improvement at the ground or training ground and then name it after him.

The Tony Pulis Lounge for example

A very subliminal message to all those who want to try it on that this is what happens to those who deceive us as well as a lasting public humiliation that would last far longer than when everyone has forgotten what he actually did - a permanent reminder......

If he is employing a third set of lawyers, then that implies that he may appeal the judgement. However if he is going to have his say, then anything he does say would prejudice any future case.

The bloke doesn't know his ar5e from his elbow.

Having said all that, it's a shame how things ended up, because I thought he done well for Palace.

My understanding is he can't take it any further hence he's actually paid up. The original ruling was from an arbitration hearing which he chose to appeal in the high court. That appeal was not only lost last November but the judge was far from complimentary about Pulis in his statement (mendacious is such a good word).

He may be able to argue the costs awarded against him (£2m ish) but that's about it.

My car got absolutely splattered on Thursday by 2 seagulls. I think they spotted my Palace lanyard and the whole rivalry thing kicked in.

Or it may have been that the sea was surging into an undulating mass - but lets not turn this into another Billow thread.

The only question I'd like to know the answer to, and probably never will, is why didn't he just wait the short time until he could pick up his bonus legitimately and then leave?

Think I read on here that he was lining the WHU job up but it fell through.
