Amazing how fans take offence at things like this Fans can take offence at anything. In fact, replace the word "fans" with "people". Most people wander around all day long looking for something to be offended by. And if they don't find anything they're offended by that.

Yes, and as has been happening for decades and is still happening, we almost invariably kicked towards the Whitehorse in the first half. Nowadays I always watch to see who has won the toss, but it doesn't make any difference. Is there a division-wide conspiracy in which every club accepts that that's the way it's got to be? Didn't we always kick off first half towards the Holmesdale under Coppell? Hazy memories but I remember that same kick off. High ball lofted to the Arfur touch line at the segregated bit by where the away fans used to be. Then there are certain goals I remember that were definitely in 1st or 2nd halves and of course, ''Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie'' with him on the right wing, by the Arfur touch line in the 2nd half, having come on for super al.
