Watched it when I got home, still on a high (naturally) so I just loved watching the game again before eventually going to bed at 2. The one thing that did annoy me was the suggestion in commentary and afterwards that Townsend 'dived'. I don't the word was used but it was certainly implied. Replays showed clearly that he got to the ball first and there was definitely contact from the keeper. Not sure you'll see many clearer penalties than that and yet they still questioned it.

It was a definite penalty and Michael Oliver was in a great position to see it. What a terrific penalty by 'Luka' hard and low into the corner.

To be fair, I do find the Arsenal meltdown quite entertaining and funny and am always quite happy to tune in to that deluded lot moaning! Talk s***e have given their fair share of credit to Palace, but have spent the whole day focusing on how bad Arsenal were - not a surprise! Fact of the matter is they know that Arsenal fans will call in to their tin pot station...I'm sure they even used to have a Daily Arsenal bit on one show? The best bit about the win is seeing their fans faces...classic. They are by far the most miserable, biased, silent, fickle bunch of spoilt tw*ts to ever grace the Premier league and I for one am so happy they are finally realising they have no god given right to finish top 4 every year.
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

Yesterday was the best palace performance I think I have ever seen (i really do think we could have beaten anyone) and after a few in the red n blue bar who did we bump into? No other than big Sam who offered us a simple handshake and "did you enjoy that lads" - what a bloke!! For me Sky and BT are trying to ruin football but yesterday we stood up against the media and the bigger team, they couldn't comprehend it. I've never been so sign proud (and living in Manchester had so many handshakes) being a palace fan.

Agreed about the coverage before the game, this was very poor in terms of build up and no focus on Palace in any way. That being said, for 30 minutes after the game the coverage was fully on how well Palace played. I think to criticise Sky for that segment of the show to be quite unfair! Ranieri/Leicesterfest could have been aired on another day. It was fcuk all to do with Palace or Arsenal. If I had known I would have watched Emmerdale or The One Show till 7.45pm. As a previous poster said... Ranieri or Carragher? Both incomprehensible when they speak!

The likes of Talksport live on Arsenal saga and all thier fans that ring in! The media would be lost if Wenger did go - he gives them enough to write about after each game.

Sorry to be negative after such an epic win, but Sky really p1ssed me off last night. Sky coverage started at 7pm, but for 45 minutes they interviewed Claudio Ranieri about Leicester FFS. We barely had time to digest the team line ups before kick off let alone see Kayla, The Crystals, the Holmesdale faithful etc.
You're lucky. I'm in Lanzarote and although we had the Sky feed for the match the in between bits were Andy Gray and some other bloke standing up and hopping around whilst spouting nonsense.

I quite enjoy pictures of Arse fans melting down and as for the pictures of Arsene looking like a ferret that's tried to eat one of those Scotch Bonnet chilli peppers - excellent. But the best one of all was the ball flying from Cabaye's foot and sailing past the Arsenal keeper into the net followed by a look on Giroud's face that made clear that they knew they were goosed. Eh? I thought that was Ryland whatisface!
