Tonight pretty much sums up being a Palace fan!

Need to hold our nerve though. DDW in the next 3 games would still be OK. Obviously a win tomorrow - which is within our capability - would be class.

Yes but Burnley have the points lead over us. I think they will be fine and there is no question that Leicester will also be fine. Looks like it will be Sunderland and Midds and another from ourselves, Hull and Swansea but of course there could be many twists and turns. We still have it all to do to avoid the drop.

West Ham?

Indeed! Away to the Arse tomorrow, so could well be in the mire if we win.

I think they will be fine but of course I could be very wrong. They are certainly in a relegation battle.

I believe it is a realistic assessment of the current situation. A loss to Southampton and perhaps others might come around to my way of thinking.

there are quite a few teams now picking up points and the magic 40 points is no longer looking like the definite safety that it did 2 weeks ago.

ANother big game tomorrow night

You went for Chelsea we gained 3 points.
You now have gone for the Saints .
We will see.
And we have sorted your engine room out !!!
Tonight's results are fine teams above us.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Leicester now 9 clear of the drop, and have a far superior goal difference to Hull. On the beach now, together with that CL game 4 days after playing us, somebody likes us. It's their biggest European night in the clubs history, could well drop players for our game. All shaping up well for us.

In terms of league positions, tonight's results were the worst we could ask for. However, as others have already mentioned, we are in control of our survival and the game against Leicester will be a key match and one that we are now more likely to gain points from. As, amongst their Champion's League matches, they may already be 'safe' and less interested in the game against us.

I didn't think the results were too bad last night, but all I care about is 17th, I have no aspirations for mid-table this season. 17th will do us just fine.

The big game is tonight. Hull v Middlesboro. A draw would be OK, but I can't see past a Hull win. Anyhow, if we can match Hull's result and stay four points clear then we will have done our job.

We could be 7 points clear with Hull having 7 to play after tonight, but I can't see it happening. That would be the sort of outcome that we could only dream about.

From the moment Leicester beat Seville I've had Palace v Leicester as a nailed-on home win, for the reasons Oldstand gives. Their continued run of form makes a Palace win even more likely.

Even if Leicester get stuffed in the first leg (but let's hope they don't) they would take a hell of a lot of picking up for a game at Selhurst a few days later.
