I would say that UNTIL we are mathematically (pointswise) safe then every game is a must win game, or at the very least, a no lose one. Edited by PZ Eagle (04 Apr 2017 1.11pm)

1-1 vs Saints and then we surely will beat Arsenal. 2-1

Edited by PZ Eagle (04 Apr 2017 1.11pm) Agreed - I live in hope that Sam has an expectations list (CB expected to score two; Wilf expected to score one; AT expected to score; JP to score; JS to score). Six goals in one match will be appreciated. COYP

Hilarious, easy read... amazing how much money he spent on gambling, booze and drugs! Oops.... spoiler alert.... I think Merson comes across as likeable, but his use of rhyming slang is crineworthy. that made me think, "Oh no. Merson is a huge shunt"

In a way this game is more important. We all know we had to get a result against at least one of the big teams to have any shout of staying up. That doesn't change the fact that we need to win our games against people around us. We need 7-9 points from 9 games. Of all the games left this is arguably the easiest. They are probably the only team we play with nothing major left to play for they have enough 'easy' fixtures to canter to safety.

He's right - it is must-win. Of our final 9 games, 6 of those we are highly likely to lose, let's be honest. Merson is talking a lot of sense. It's not even close to a must win. And on what basis are we "highly likely to lose" 6 of our remaining games? Is this the same team that just beat Chelsea at the Bridge? Something only one other club has done all season (and that Liverpool before Chelsea's tactical switches). Why should we be highly likely to lose 6 of our remaining fixtures? Would winning it help us? Of course it would. Should we start panicking if we lose/draw? Of course we shouldn't.

9 Cup Finals left - 3 wins needed. Still all to do, but momentum is helping.

We still have it all to do to avoid the drop given our remaining fixtures. I think the only "must win" is Hull at home. We need points elsewhere too, but a loss to Hull would be devastating.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
