The trouble is, after Sats win against the league leaders & in their own back yard, the expectations amongst our fans, especially on the HOL will be enormous....& god help us if we lose.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

After playing the best team in the country away and winning it's hard to see how this match will be tougher even with some injuries to our defence but having said that I would be more than happy with a point.

Sakho & Damo should be ok but Tomkins may not be and Dann is probably out for the rest of the season Would be nice to have Tomkins available, even if it's only off the bench. Kelly is cover otherwise, which isn't as terrifying as it was a few weeks ago, so there's that.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

We could be without Tomkins, dann and potentially Sakho. Their wasn't much expectation against Chelsea . Despite a fantastic performance and result. The expectation to get a win against Southampton will be higher. Southampton will be tougher than Chelsea? Mid table Saints with nothing to play for compared with the league leaders fighting for the title with the best home record. What a ridiculous title for the thread. Even without Tomkins and Dann we've got Sakho and Damo. I'm not suggesting Saints will be an easy win, in fact I'd bite your hand off for a draw. Think about the the title next time.

The Chelsea game will have taken a lot out of the players and we have picked up injuries. We still have it all to do to avoid relegation.

Any complacency that the other teams would have had has now gone. Southampton like us are a good team on their day lets hope its not their day they like us are missing key players.

Typical Palace to waste the Chelsea result.
