I have said many times that we did not spend enough in successive transfer windows.
The proof should be that even Sam Allardyce could not get that team winning. We had to bolster the squad with some quality which we should have done that in the Summer, particularly after a terrible second half of last season. Buying Benteke was never going to fix everything.

Pardew probably acquiescing Parish's budget wishes and protecting his employment and getting a 5 year extension. Same happened at Newcastle and was rewarded with a 7, yes SEVEN year contract.

Sam tells it how it is and we either act or fail. Pardew thinks everyone else is stupid and looks after himself behind his BS.

It was an 8yr contract. [Link]

I'm not even surprised he's likened himself to De Niro, that he's bemoaning a lack of depth at Leftback and that people should trust medical experts less.

What an arsehole.

Maybe Pardew should have looked at all those injuries we kept getting and reassessed whether he really knew more about conditioning than the physiotherapists.

Cabaye. Ok

Adebayor flop
Mandanda flop
Tomkins. Flop under pardew. Shown significant improvement
Flamini. Flop
Remy. Flop due to lack of game time
Townsend similar to Tomkins. Was poor under pardew
Benteke ok in terms of goal record but need more
J. Benteke. Publicity stunt- flop

It's laughable that he wanted the January to rectify the problems after his disasters in the transfer market.

Wasn't Zaha signed under Warnock? Who also brought in Jimmy Mac?

I think even some of Holloway's signings were better (Chamakh was very good for us - hard work and great on the ball if not lots of goals) and Puncheon spring to mind).

Pulis had one window and brought in players that played a big part in keeping us up.

Pardew's record was awful.

Liverpool 2-4
Burnley 3-2
Swansea 5-4
Hull 3-3
Man Utd 1-2

All games where we dropped points due to the inferior fitness, subs and game management as a result of Pardew's decisions, tactics.

He did a lot of good in his time, and our attack was good but naive in so many ways.

He knew more than Ben Garner.

He was so right on that. Ben Garner being hired by Pulis, then a promotion, then enjoying top 3rd of the league position.

Warnock signed zaha on season loan but pardew made it a permanent in the January window. Even though the agreement was probably in place anyways

According to the article he went into the meeting with no idea he was about be sacked and only had a "35%" suspicion of the possibility it was his time to go.

He really is one arrogant arsehole isn't he. Incredible

I feel the same about Pardew as I always did. He’s a flawed manager and character who has a played a bigger part than most in the story of this club.

If we stay up this season, I think history will be kind and the top 10 finish and cup final will be what people mostly remember him for.

But more than anything, I’m just relieved he’s not our manager anymore.

WTF:
That isn't rocket science or anything new. Pullis and Allardyce make sure there teams a super fit and have done every year. Is he really saying he's only just realised that's a requirement of a premier league team.
t***.

This shows AP didn't have a clue when it comes to fitness training because he thinks people could be better doesn't mean you make them train very hard the human body doesn't work like that it requires building up it's like pulling someone of the street and expecting them to run 2 miles without any build up training.

The guys an idiot this explains all the injuries.

I will agree with him on one thing that players fitness for pro should be a lot better how they can not play 90min is shocking at times this is not just directed at Palace but football as a whole.

I noticed he missed out his record sucked and tried to mask it with the cup run and to try use squard as excuse is a joke he is the one that cleared out people bringing in useless people mostly because he was a fan of them or worked with them in the past when those players were at peak now they are past it.

The clause was already in the deal with the option so you could say no he didn't sign him the same was with Punch.

There are some pretty strong rumours around that Zaha was a Parish signing, irrespective of who was supposedly managing the team at the time.
