The best thing about the incident was Milivojevic spreading his arms to hold back the 3 or 4 Watford players trying to provoke a reaction from Wilf and get him sent off. The more I see this Guy the more I appreciate what he gives us.

I have to agree with that. He could be a great signing for us. I saw an interview with him on the Palace site, seems like a nice guy.

Our January signings are starting to make us look like we can pass.

Zaha has been so good for us this season. He still has that temper thing sometimes, that's part of how he plays but I don't care, if he plays like he has been this season.

Even though we are scrapping at the wrong end of the table. He looks really up for it.

Yeah i noticed that. Wilf was surrounded and Luka came steaming in to help. We have been like pussycats in midfield this season but not now, the bloke is as tough as old noots

Wilf could easily have seen red for striking-out. He's got to learn to calm down.

Cleverley should have been red-carded for the elbow on Cabaye, which Atkinson clearly missed.

Best bit was Wilf fronted him up. Didn't take one step backwards and just glared at him. Should have been yellow carded though, but hey you're gonna lash out sometimes when you're constantly used as a Piņata.

Wilf shoved him then he got the same shove back later resulting in a free kick and our goal.

Think he actually whacked him in the nuts and the ref didn't see it, but I've heard nothing about him being charged.
Luka is doing what we haven't all season, protecting our own. Wilf has needed protection ever since Jedi left and he's been let down badly. Finally we seem to have someone willing to defend his own against the bully boy tactics.

Cabaye used to get in people's faces and try and protect Wilf. We need some nastier players as well as some that understand the tricks and gamesmanship that goes on. Milivojevic looks like he knows this side of the game, he even bumped into Deeney after the OG, Deeney should have been carded for tripping him.

Good to see Mili jump in to Wilf's aid
But it was much ado about nothing, and a bit over dramatic to say Wilf threw a punch.

its my opinion we were way too nice under Pardew.

let the eagles wield their talons from time to time. lets stop being afraid of referees ( especially at Selhurst ) and ruffle some feathers.

Of course in principle protecting Wilf from bullying by opposition players ought to be the job of the referee, but as we all know...

Exactly as I mentioned on another post ,we have now toughened up and will no longer be pushed and kicked without a reply, great to see that attitude so long as its within the laws of the game...or almost.
