I don't expect us to pick up any more away points - maybe a point at Southampton. So our home form is now so important. Winnable games against Watford, Leicester, Burnley and Hull will give us 12 points. Am not expecting anything from Arsenal or Spurs at Selhurst, so realistically we can aim for 12 more points giving us a total of 37 points. Short of the magic 40, but probably enough. I would say that the three there now are the 3 that will go.

Yep, good analysis but haven't you forgot ManUre away ? Possibly Clattenburg's last game in the Prem ? Imagine party popping a possible Champs league spot for them.

From what I saw yesterday, we can maintain the gap and grow it. The fight is back and I think we'll do this now.

oh yes, not a fixture though I'd expect to change our points tally.

I don't want to go into last game needing something. Imagine not needing something and playing with freedom to stop man her getting in the top 4.

They were also singing "Delilah" so they're clearly not beyond nicking other clubs' songs.

Whilst the two wins were great to see, the effort, desire and spirit was all evident, one loss can drag us back in it. A win against Watford would be great, our goal difference is worth a point so also valuable.

I was thinking earlier, to think we gave swansea 6 points and surrendered 3 to sunderland. We would be pretty much safe by now.

Ah bollox Ibrahimovic has been banned for the MIddlesborough game. We gotta hope Martial, Rooney and Rashford can run rings around Gibson and his mates.

I don't know. Man Utd have the best away form for the last 5 games and Boro haven't won at home in 4 games.

Some stats for the Swansea vs Boro game:
1) Swansea have won their last 3 home games (vs Leicester, Soton & Burnley), whilst Boro have only won once away all season (6 draws) and currently have the joint worst away form over 5 games with Hull and Burnley.

2) Boro also have the 2nd worst form over 5 games, only better than Bournemouth, whilst Swansea have the 6th best.

3) Boro beat Swansea 3-0 (H) earlier in the season, but that was at the peak of their turmoil.

4) Boro have scored 1 goal in their last 5 away games, whilst Swansea scored in their last three home games.

The statistics certainly don't look good for them going into this 6 pointer, and if I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Swansea winning or Boro sneaking a draw.

My perfect scenario:

Man Utd away last game of the season. Palace need a point to stay up, Utd need to win to get into Europe. Palace win 3-0 with a Zaha triple.

Perfect, just perfect, although I would probably have a heart attack watching that game.

Sounds positive, the Swans have lots of very winnable games so I reckon they are probably safe. If they could beat Boro I think it would help us.

What concerns me is that there are games we absolutely should win and games we're probably not going to - but hardly any where we can say, maybe get a point there?

As someone else mentioned, win all the winnable games means 37 points, which is JUST enough probably.

The chances of us winning all those winnable games though? Slim IMO. It wouldn't at all surprise me to draw or lose to Watford now because that would be the Palace way.

Obviously anything less than 37 points means relegation. So unfortunately it could still prove to be too little too late.

If Sam would have come in a month earlier we'd probably have the points required now for a couple of slip-ups, which is frustrating. As it stands, we have to be perfect against the teams we can beat or pull a few upsets a long the way.

Most seasons I'd say we'll get a couple of upsets but we've not really looked that way this season.
