Also Superfly doesn't post as much any more which is a shame as I find him very entertaining. Voted for him two years in a row for funniest poster, but Mezzer is posting all the funny stuff now.

I texted Superfly on Saturday because I had a spare ticket for the 'Boro game.

He told me he couldn't go because he had tickets to La Boheme.

I worry for the lad.

General Talk seems to be a private club with the same half dozen people trying their hardest to batter each other into submission so I don't bother much and prefer to have my "general chatting" elsewhere where it isn't quite as cliquey

I apologise to you and others if you feel that I have majorly contributed to that situation.

I'm surprised we've got 3 pages in and no-one's mentioned Morganistic yet.

I think general talk has gone the way of much political debate after the referendum. Many naturally yearn for straightforward answers and easy labels.

I don't know how much of that is true. But I do remember him saying some theatrical stuff so presumably all of it. Well, I think we are generally an open minded bunch on here and he needn't be ashamed.

I dont know whether its because sensibilities have been heightened over a pretty divisive last twelve months or whether things have become nastier - it certainly feels like the latter.

It is not helped by the medium where there is very little intonation in what is posted. Although I have strongly differing views from say Hrolf or Hoof that at various times have sparked I have never had any doubt that if we had the same conversation face to face in a bar we would have had a perfectly amicable discussion and that there was nothing personal in it.

There are however one or two voices on here that I think are outright nasty and I wouldnt want to meet up with in a million years. Of course that could just be the snowflake in me.

You've hit the nail on the head I think sir. At the risk of saying the same thing on multiple threads, I've always tried to post on here as I would in real life. I.e.: if I saw ANYONE in the street in a Palace shirt my response would be "EEEEAGLES" and I'd instantly consider them an ally without needing to know any more about them. Banter is good, some of us have spoken to each other on here long enough to be able to make certain quips that aren't taken the wrong way. But it is sad when people just attack fellow Palace fans.

Maybe it's because we're already united on here with a commonality and that naturally exposes differences of opinions. Either way, I'd happily shake the hand of any of you on here because you support the club I love

(By the way, I am a UKIP/Brexit voting b******)
