Like 1 poster said there's 600 million supporters behind the club not sure on the accuracy of that figure. I don't see Man Utd as a football club it's a global money making business which attracts colossals amounts of money & needs to be successful whether that's through honest or dishonest ways remains to be proven. You'd have to be pretty naive not to make the reasonable assumption that all these irrefutable incorrect decisions which favour Man Utd are a result of something more sinister than honesty. If they have been incorrect decisions then these are down to honest mistakes made in the 'Pressure cooker' of a game. It is a nonsense to assert that referees are instructed to favour Man Utd or any other big club if this is what you are insinuating.

I'm trying to be patient here as I'm not sure on you're on a wind up. Do you realise just how much money can be made by doing something 1 way as opposed to another? There shouldn't be any pressure cookers there's that many officials we are not detonating bombs here in a hostage situation. Edited by lancseagle (26 Feb 2017 10.07pm)

I have a polarised view which goes against a consensus and I am on a 'Wind-up' ! I can assure you, all I am giving is my honest opinion which you clearly disagree with. That's fine, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. And most certainly referees and assistants are in 'Pressure cooker' situations not only from big crowds but due to the intense scrutiny of TV cameras. They of course make mistakes but NOT on purpose. And trust me IF they have made a bit of a 'Ricket' which is highlighted over and over on TV they are often mortified and upset with themselves.Ever think of this aspect ????

No not really because I'm in the opinion & steadfast belief that these mistakes aren't REALLY mistakes & its quids in if you get my drift. Look we are never going to agree whilst we have a hole in our orifices. I give up I'm a defeated man. Night.

Thanks to the people that answered the question, so as I suspected yet another controversial decision favours Man U.

Crazy isn't it? According to the survey there are 1.6 billion football fans in the world and 600 million claim to be Man United fans!!! Manchester United has 659 million followers worldwide:

I have been receiving an education regarding the quality of officials' decision making as a Palace Season Ticket Holder, and reader of many HOL posts. I accept that referees are under pressure during a game, and while helped by three others the referee is guided by 22 players and vocal fans. At one time Palace seemed to be running at a penalty every other game. This is no longer the case. The bare statistics will suggest that Palace are a dirty team (yellow cards Palace 3 - Middlesboro 1). In addition there is also the quality aspect, with England (and other) International Players (Rooney Costa) words to the referee being more highly regarded than our Wilf where the referee's decision seeming to be based on either "he is making out that he has been severely clattered - is he looking for a penalty?" or "he is a forward, why (when he is still able to stand) is he becoming frustrated by the bashings he is receiving?" I would like to think that referees should be discouraged from regarding very highly regarded players as able to produce sunlight from their bottoms. COYP.

From Gossip column:- Southampton manager Claude Puel has called for video technology after a Manolo Gabbiadini effort was disallowed for offside in Sunday's EFL Cup final against Manchester United. This could end their Cup winning feats.

I hate Man U ,their cheating players , the way they always get the decisions ,plastic supporters and refs who melt at the sight of a red shirt . The thing is I also think that all teams get bad decisions , the good ones are good enough to get over it .
