Wonder what the odds would have been for Leicester to win the premier then get relegated??

Maybe the answer relates to one's age. At 63 now and having already notched up one heart attack I would go for seeing Palace win the league then suffer relegation a year later - we would have won something meaningful, and had a European adventure. No end of relegations could ever take that season away from us. However, wistfully imagining I was under thirty, then I would be in it for the long haul. Looking for continuous top flight football, a new stadium, ever more expensive signings (although not necessarily better ones!) with the hope of winning trophies on a regular basis.

I'd happily take a Premier League title followed by relegation. OK, maybe not that happily, but I'd certainly get over it. I'd also be quite happy to win the Premier League, then the Champions League in the season we get relegated, and qualify for the Champions League again as holders the season after that while being a Championship club. Then I'll wake up and have my breakfast!

As was said earlier, winning the league would be a ''once in a lifetime experience''.

There's a part of me that thinks getting relegated the next season, massively takes the shine off of winning the league anyway. It's not long enough after the event of winning the thing that you have to become s*** again to start sliding down the table so dramatically.
