Well I guess you're entitled to your opinion even if you are completely wrong.

Casual is right.

You can't just say cos we won ignore everything bad. Punch was poor. Again.

Today's result won't keep us up. We're still a work in progress.

Oh yeh and his vital goals against Spurs 2015, Norwich 2016 and a goal that nearly clinched us the FA Cup. The guy's been great for this club, we've still not won a league game since our promotion where he hasn't played. He's off form, he needs a rest imo. I think he does a lot of unnoticed work for the team, today he got into goalscoring opportunities on 3 occasions. Fans ought to show more respect to good servants for the club.

Your talking about 3 goals dating back 3 years ago.

And there lays our problems. It's not only punch being picked on past reputation. If we stay up major surgery is needed.

Think that was his best game in ages, he had a few chances and fluffed them, probably due to the nervousness that is indemic in the whole team at the moment, you could see he was trying to adjust to that by taking more time later in the game. He didn't seem to me running in circles like he has been recently, he might not be the best player on the pitch but I can't really see a better choice for captain at the moment.

Good first half, second half he dropped too deep and struggled to make an impact.

His efforts on goal were wayward in the first half, but it was the first time for ages he was actually putting himself in the position to have a go.

Second half he lost the control he had, but that pass for PVA at the end was fabulous.

Can still improve, but decent performance for me.

I think he is a good spirit to have at the club but I agree with the OP that Puncheon will need to vastly improve or prepare for replacement.

Agreed.
I think the lack of a decent captain has been a bigger problem than Punch's performance recently and if giving him the spot improves his game then that's two problems solved.

And incidentally the negativety around this place is really beginning to get me down, can we have a break from it for just one weekend?
