I'm sorry man, but 112 minutes is nothing.

Benteke really showed him up in the Bolton replay to be fair.

Yes, I'm not sure where the 'Remy is great' mantra is coming from. The few times I have seen him in a Palace shirt he has a) not scored b)not looked likely to c)not assisted anyone else to. Adebayor did more and people called him sh*t.

It comes from the fact that Benteke has always been average, even when playing for Astin Villa and scoring quite a lot, which tricked some folks in Liverpool into paying a lot of money for him and Remy having been amazing in the past for Swansea, France's national team and OM.

Sure, it will be hard for him coming after a long injury, but you can't judge him based on "the few times I've seen him".

The player need consistency, he needs 600-700 full minutes before you can make a judgement, and even then it won't be a totally professional one.

I agree that he might become good but the point I was making was that he has not yet performed in a Palace shirt to justify such an accolade. By the way what would make it a professional judgement?

The thing is Benteke alone is not working and Remy is the best option we have to partner him.

What are you on about?
He was a great player for Villa and as our top scorer, he'll prove to be a great player for us.

Meh. He scored a lot from penalties. Didn't provide any assists. Had a lot of playing time, that's why he got the goals in.
Same lack of movement.......I've always seen him as average, not Lukaku level, although they've been considered similar strikers

Many minutes played(over 5.000)

Considering this and with Remy's background, he is good. But it always takes time after a lenghty injury and age doesn't forgive anyone either.....so I can't be 100% sure

I think we ought to be playing Remy up with Benteke wherever we can because otherwise the gap from the midfield to the front men (well, man) is too wide.

Hennesey
Tomkins Dann Sakho v. Aanholt
Milivojevic McArthur
Zaha Townsend
Remy
Benteke

And if that back four can't take care of Bumfluff therre's something even more seriously wrong than we thought.

'Bumfluff'.

I love that. Ha Ha!
