Would be a bold move but our best player - homegrown and been with the longest is Wilf. He's the only player still exuding any confidence as a man and player. It might even make him grow up a bit. I love Wilf but he would be my last choice for captain. I think Jimmy Mac is probably the best option, but my only concern with that is that for whatever reason he never seems to last 90 minutes. A few weeks ago I would have said Damo was the clear candidate but I worry his head might have gone a bit, plus he is perhaps a bit too no nonsense. Unless someone steps up then what is clear is that whatever league we're in next season we need a new leader in the team....maybe Luka could be that man? (let's pin even more expectations on a player who has never stepped foot in the PL)

Thought he was a good choice but it hasnt worked. The defence has looked less assured since he got the armband and some of his performances definitely haven't been as good. The fact it's difficult to say who should take over captaincy highlights how few leaders we have in this team and (maybe) why we are in the position we are in.

Damo's veins stand out enough as it is. If he was made captain I fear it would end in an explosion. #messynotmessi

Give it to Wayne....Best laugh I have had all day ...really funny.....He is a JOKE!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
