Another memory from my childhood is walking up to the ground and seeing either a BBC lorry or an LWT one. It seems like nothing now in these days of wall to wall TV coverage but back then it was almost magical.

Recall the matchday programme containing that day's fixtures with a letter corresponding to each game EG There used to be boards attached to where the advertising hordes are normally situated with letters A,B,C etc etc - at Half time, somebody used to slot in the scores EG Board A 2,1 which would indicate the score pertaining to Match A ! How times have changed.
