Careful. I sense a Ginger pubic wig insult coming our way after we've followed the mono syllabic garbage from the apoplectic masses and mounded it into something more coherent and logical.

It has been such an appalling season culminating in that shambles of a display on Saturday that any change of tactics and/or players has the feel of re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.

That said, with just 14 games left to avoid relegation I think that Sam Allardyce has little option but to re-assess what he's got. There are players who are trying and still putting the effort in but who's confidence seems to be shot and players that already seem to have given up and are playing like they're thinking about their next contract. Maybe Sam should be identifying such leaders and strong characters that he's got at his disposal and build a team around them as a short term measure over the last 14 games.

Hopefully, in this context, our four new signings can make a significant contribution.

Don't be mean Dave. I like what you post. Same for that grump Rudi. I will read it properly now.

OK. Just re-read it. I'm not seeing anything to tell me Luka can't play at Stoke. Sincerely -- not sarcastically (and sorry for the wachootalkingboutwillis jibe) but what makes you think Luka won't be available for Stoke? I never pretended to be intelligent.

Not an insult Rudi. It was meant to be gentle and playful. That said, I do sometimes wish you'd be less aggressive with posters, but the actual facts you and bexley put up, I agree with very much and consider them pretty intelligent.

Sam has to drop the pre-madonnas we are playing.
Hennessey, Ward, Tomkins, Puncheon.
Tomkins performance yesterday would not be allowed in academy football. Elementary mistakes for a £10 million acquisition. Ledley also not at the races.
Dann and Cabaye are injured - we'll miss Dann more than Cabaye.
I would play Kelly at RB (can't do any worse) and Sakho if fit.
Flamini needs to come in.
Hopefully Schlupp & Mile (when he gets his visa)will come In asap.
Lee has more fight in him, and deserves a start.

Thoughts?

It's amazing how a player out the side becomes amazing. You calling for Martin Kelly and Townsend. Who both have been woeful this season. I agree that flamini must start next game.

To be fair to Townsend he does seem to have started to apply himself.

when you see people calling out Cabaye over Dann and the rest of the bottlers because he cost a lot or whatever you know they're talking pure merde. He's been one of our better players for at least a month but I guess the facts get in the way.

I wouldn't necessarily make too many changes unless injury forces it.

Palace like Leicester and to a lesser degree Bournemouth have not suddenly become bad players. Confidence is rock bottom.

The players who were already low on confidence have been asked to play a new system, it's not easy. The key to efficient and successful team work is individuals understanding their role and how it fits into the overall objective. Back to basics with a couple of players switched out.

the dignified don't even enter in the game
