No point in giving out abuse as it will make absolutely no difference to what we can clearly see. However, everyone has the right to feel cheated and to hold on to their season ticket money for next year.

I think in general the fans have been patient up until the Swansea game, we (the fans) were good against Everton, we supported them even in losing. IMO it's ill advised for us to give them abuse, chants directed at them and squaring up to them near the tunnel. The stadiums where the fans become abusive to the players or manager generally go down. I understood the boo's against Swansea somewhat, the effort levels seemed way below par. Today it was errors that lead to their first 2 goals, that's due to confidence; confidence and fear is not helped by abuse. For all the players individual and collective failings, I do not think we as fans should fail to support them; it's only ourselves that we're hurting in the end. Boo Hoo! Wittle babees wunt a wittle cuddle? Pooooor wittle babees...

Just a quote from Allardyce's post match press conference. He was asked about the abuse the team was given. "Well they have to accept that don't they, for the performance that they've given. A fan will show their approval if the team is playing well, and will show their disapproval if they're not performing to the level that they expect." So I think the manager agrees with what several people have said. The players need to buck their idea up. If they're that upset they can get an excellent shrink on their wages.

I don't expect that much as a Palace fan, I know we can't win every game and some players will have bad games, but this is getting beyond a joke now, every home game is the same, poor defensive play, no tackling in midfield and just hoof it up to Benteke to nod it on to no one! You can only take so much , but today I think Allardyce should take a lot of the blame as he set the team up wrong for an important must win home game, it was too defensive, I think he is just as bad and should take the hit for that as well.I'm beginning to despair now, but I'll still be there next home game and the one after that etc ...

I think maybe 4 in defnece at home and 3/5 at the back away might be the way to go. I reckonSam will go that way after today. We are not quick enough at home using it whereas when teams in their own ground are attacking us they commit 1 or 2 more forward so we perform 3/5 at the back better. He is not stupid Alardyce and doesn't just keep doing the same thing over and over again so we have hope in him. (I doubted him a few years ago and proved e wrong so it's not blind faith)

Embarrassing result on the pitch, but equally embarrassing reaction from some "supporters " at the end. Especially those planks dressed in black who congregated around the tunnel at the end of the game to abuse the players, what a pathetic bunch they are. Yep, the ref and linesmen should of known better.

All this people saying the players deserve the boos etc. Yet no one can actually answer my initial question: What is the point in booing or abusing them? Does it give us more points, does it help the situation? Does it make them play better? No What matters at the end of the season is how many points we're on and where that puts us in the table. Hostility towards the players does nothing other than harm our chances of survival.

You might be right. But please remember.... WE WERE 4-0 DOWN TO SUNDERLAND AT HALF TIME. THEY ARE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE. We can get over today, so can the players. My old man never, ever gets angry or swears at the manager/players. Today he left the concourse to shout at Allardyce, and threw his pie in the bin. He's been supporting Palace for 50 years. He also left at half time for the first time in 50 years. And that has been the reaction from many people, who have sat through a lot of bad times. So there may be no point to abusing players, but people care about it so much it's the only way to vent their frustrations. I've never seen a reaction like I did today. You know why ? Because I've never seen us 4-0 down at half time.

Bicycle repair man you are a complete knob! I do not condone the behaviour of the fan on the pitch but having sat through 45 minutes of pure s***e and total lack of effort can probably understand how he felt. But yet again you have to have your little pop at the fanatics who follow this shower of s***e week in week out no matter what. Many spend a lot of money doing so and are entitled to let the team no what they think. I have supported this team for over 45 years and have never witnessed such a gutless performance. I also know that were the fanatics not here we would return to the dark old days when there was no atmosphere and no co ordination with the sing. STOP SLAGGING THEM OFF
