It's the pair of them! Ledley enjoys giving goals away and did again today. Puncheon enjoys spinning on spot before doing a 3 yard safe pass. f***ing pathetic. Just get punch out team and bring Townsend in and put mccarthur where he belongs in the middle. If cabaye is injured play the new lad instead. Just don't wanna see punch or Ledley anywhere near the team Agree 100%

Undoubtedly technically gifted, but like possession statistics it's the end product which really counts. Sorry to disagree but a professional footballer who is cant kick a ball with his right foot, doesn't win any aerial duels, very rarely tackles and has the turning circle of a double decker bus is not gifted. Sorry I know he is "one of our own" but his time is up I'm Afraid.

He's been brilliant but is 30 and on his way down. Never a defensive midfielder in a million years and should be a squad player. MacArthur is our best DM by a distance but looks as though he's been shoe horned into the number 10 position through lack of other alternatives.

Don't normally feel this sour but Puncheon has been piss poor all season for me. Best ballet dancer in the prem every time he receives the ball he pirouettes before passing backwards or sideways. Ledley just plods around the park like he is running through treacle. Wants all day on the ball and has cost us goal after goal this season. He looks like veteran competing in a veterans game. And Hennesey well don't get me started.

I don't think Punch has been good enough for while, but I really don't understand why Sam is playing him on the right side of centre midfield and Mcarthur wide on the left. It's so blatantly obvious that Jimmy Mac is better in the middle, and does occasionally drive forward with the ball. Puncheon is slow, doesn't take the quick forward ball when it's available, and playing him on his wrong side just adds to the hesitancy.

Punch is having a very poor season, like many. He's done wonders for us in previous years, so I'll cut him some slack. Like many he's suffering from a severe lack of confidence that has been caused by a whole year of losing regularly. Pardew should of gone earlier it's clear as the team has forgotten how to win, but I won't lay it all at his door. Sam had the midweek win to use to push this team on and he set up in a very negative way and he blew it. If Schlupp was fit would he of started Macca wide left again, doubt it. Yet he didn't start Townsend who was coming off a moral boosting cameo at Bournemouth and would of stretched Sunderland more.

Got some abuse at a corner and turned with the most dirty look at the crowd once he had ran 20 yards away, then started moaning at Dann. I am not sure what to make of the abuse, i see why people do it, but its a vicious circle once that starts. Yes i did sing that they were not fit to wear the shirt, as they are not!

I think he was one of the sorry excuses that stood and decided not to put themselves in the way of their number 7 having a shot at goal on the corner of the box in the 1st half. Not his job before the others but an example from someone needs to be made. No midfield marshall so who? It's not his fault he has to turn 360 to get it in his right path at this level. It's our fault he's relied on to be our 1st choice at this level. Summer signings addressed 50% of issues.

I think the problem with all our midfielders Punch included is that there is just no movement in front of them and Benteke is often marked by at least two . Any forward passes then look like poor passes as they invariably get intercepted or go where nobodies running . Punch wears his colours with pride and the harder he tries the worse it gets .
