I watched the game bl00dy online so yes I do know what I am talking about as do the guys who went to Selhurst to watch the match. I presume you did not watch the game either on line or at Selhurst from your stupid remark?

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Reading his signature, he's probably forgotten more about being a Palace supporter than you'll ever know so it might pay you to be a little bit more respectful towards him.

No he isn't - all players make occasional mistakes and he has had decent games recently. The only goal I would really single him out for was Costa's for Chelsea when he half came and got beaten by the looping header.

I notice that the OP started the thread at 3.59pm - so either he had access to the internet at the game or most likely wasn't even there.

Yeah because live at the game he is faultless! Is it a bit like being on camera makes you look like you've gained 10 lbs?

So I guess it's the tv cameras that makes it look like he's thrown the ball between his legs into the goal or gone down far too early or even step away from the oncoming shot from freekicks.

We need to change the cameras because they are making it look like he is consistently making the same mistakes over and over again.

I don't care when the OP started the thread one iota. If hennessey hadn't flapped at the ball in the first place then they wouldn't have had the chance of 'fouling' him.
As for blame, take a look at the first and third goals from West ham, both his fault for poor decision making. Amateur at best.
Please one day wake up and accept the guy is a liability.
Look at the threads and opinions about it. Lol at the FACTS.

I wouldn't say he was as bad as he has been today but I have not seen anything from him that demonstrates that he his better that Speroni in any of the games he has played for us.

I can't remember a goalkeeper ( that's had a decent run of games) that is worse than hennessey, I've been going since the mid/late 80s. Not interested in stats, I'm going with my eyes. There's too many times where people are debating if a goal was his fault or not.
He's physically weak and massively lacking in personality.
Bin him. He's sh*t.

It's ageism and heightism pure and simple. If Speroni were 29 and 6ft 5 and Hennessey 37 and 5ft 11 it would be Jules getting picked every week.

Nothing to do with ability. Which is odd for a sport's game.

He was weak and got bullied in his own area, so just like at West Ham we were losing because of our keeper, and then the confidence just drains from the team and then it's just a catalogue of errors.

Cannot dispute this. A keeper who has no confidence to win the ball in the air when he is taller. Maybe being a beanpole who doesn't want to work in the gym is a reason.

It's like an under 10's match with all the oppo kids, manager and parents shouting, "He can't catch it, cross it in the air." Keeper's confidence drops like one of his catches and boom boom boom, game over, again.

Also felt that he could of done better for the West Ham opening goal recently where he was in no mans land. Today might well of been in a similar vein where he has got to make those situations his own. Goalkeeper is such a crucial position that you can't get it wrong nor skimp on the wages. Mandanda was voted best Ligue 1 goalie and certainly had the credentials but he looked shaky for us before getting injured quite sometime ago ?, somebody mentioning cruelly chocolate hands after the Burnley game. You are not going to get a top 6 goalie but you can get their subs like Begovic if you promise them game time and pay them accordingly. Funnily enough they don't seem to command the big transfer fees but should be and also payed a fortune if they are good at their job.

I thought Hennessey was fouled for the first goal but haven't seen it since the game so could be wrong.

That said he should be dropped, not as bad as some make out but not good enough at the moment.

But anyone who thinks that simply changing the keeper will solve all our ills clearly hasn't been watching us play.

I didn't think he was fouled and if he was it was miniscule. His decision to try and catch the ball given the proximity of the opposing player was so wrong for a player of his ability. Lloris or Neuer could have achieved it but not our Wayne.
