Agreed .... half a season in a TEAM that has not performed is hardly anything to go on. No more hand outs to the Geordies either they've done well out of us in recent seasons.

Couldn't agree more. He was inspirational for Newcastle in the latter part of last season. Took 3 points off us and very nearly saved them from the drop. If Sam can get him playing - and the signs were good tonight - he may yet play a crucial role in our survival. I'm delighted he's staying put.

Have to agree...I was overjoyed when he came in... And although he has yet to show what we all know he is capable of, should he do so, £13m would've been a bargin
